Well Dean, you were right to disagree with meSefton Aubergine wrote: ↑Sun Dec 24, 2023 3:24 pmRare thing but I'm going to disagree with you mate, but only about the attendance. I felt that 5,000 was possible until the Crewe result. I think that and the Swindon win will put 3-400 on the gate. I feel 5,500 is possible now.spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 24, 2023 11:03 am
I don’t think Paul is being harsh at all, honest but not harsh.
Although over the years I’ve persuaded many to attend games, lots of them are now ST holders and travel with us to away games, a good few have become volunteers…but some never come back, others - I can’t prise them away from their settees watching a PL team, some actually making it the highlight of their week when they can sit there all day watching three games on the bounce.
As Nige says, you can’t defend the indefensible.
I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think the attendance will be anywhere near what some think it will be.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Boxing Day
I knew it would be a good attendance but not that good.
Brilliant. Hope you come back-most of you.

Poor effort by the supposedly one of the best supported teams in the league.

To be honest mate my guess was based on Stockport selling out the away end, which if they had over 6,200 would have been there and even I wasn't that optimistic!spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2023 3:42 pmWell Dean, you were right to disagree with meSefton Aubergine wrote: ↑Sun Dec 24, 2023 3:24 pm
