I thought we would have heard something by now if he was to sign an extension until the end of the season to be honest. Would love to be wrong of course.

Wouldn't be surprised if one of, two of, or all of Wrexham, Stockport and Mansfield have made him an offer. They could offer him the same incentive we believe is keeping him at Barrow - a chance of a promotion in a winning team

Would be an even bigger blow to lose him to a promotion rival

If we lose James Chester, surely we would look to replace him in Jan - so I am assuming Wild has given Chester a deadline for a decision as we will have to account for a plan B if he leaves.

Feely is solid there and Foley can probably do a decent job, but we would need another centre half

There are quite a few teams that could offer him significantly more money until the end of the season.

He’s worth a contract the way he’s playing atm. If only for 12 months. He deserves one. Personally if someone just wanted him to stuff some money in his pocket for a few months I’d be tempted to tell them to double it or do one. No point going to a L2 side however good they are if you’re going to be dumped at the end of the season.

It is getting a little tedious and my gut tells me that it’s more likely that he’ll go than stay. It would be a pity if we lost him before the Wrexham game - especially if he went to Wrexham. Imagine that!

It'd have to be a really good deal to entice him away imo. Be a gamble to leave for a higher league club with no guarantee of a regular start - I'm sure a relegation battle up the road isn't as inviting as a promotion push in L2. I guess only he'll know but he does seem to be enjoying it and he's mentioned a few times in interviews thats what's important to him

Also hoping that it’s done n dusted ,what I would do would be to announce it just before the teams come out tomorrow just to build the atmosphere to a higher level
