Don't wish to disappoint some people but Pete Wild said he has seen the incident and Jamie Procter did not kick the player on the floor like the fourth official was suppose to have told the referee he had done.
On that basis, will there be an appeal?

I’m all for defending your players for the right reasons, but you can’t defend the inexcusable or indefensible as it ultimately loses you credibility.

Wrexham won the national league with many players playing two levels below where their ability and consistency would get them. They were there for one thing and one thing only money. What we have is a good EFL2 squad and a good EFL squad by its nature is inconsistent at times during the season.

No, an average L2 team is inconsistent. A good L2 team is by definition, consistently good which I think we have been this season by and large.

Totally agree.. we have been bloody brilliant and up with the he so called big boys yes, every team no matter what league has a blip or a bump..

Suppose it's down to us a bit now with all the home games coming up! If we really want promotion, we have to stand shoulder to shoulder with the team and make our home a shit place for any team to come!!!

I think the most embarrassing thing was seeing Proctor walking off the pitch and squaring up to the 4th official and pointing his finger in his face whilst clearly sharing some choice words. It took Jason Taylor to go over and push him down the tunnel. So embarrassing. Then again, the disciplinary record our coaching staff alone is hardly showing our players how to carry ourselves as individuals and people.

It just really irritated me seeing him talk to a guy just doing his job like that.

I think we should lodge an appeal against the red card. With a bit of luck it will be doubled to 6 games.
Hopefully Aquah back on Tuesday.

Well I saw Proctor kick at him from where I was. Possible (perhaps even likely) that he missed the target though I suppose. He's had as many red cards as he's scored goals for us now.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that his 3-match ban isn't going to derail our season.

I thought they pressed further up the field than what has become our norm of up to the halfway line especially first half it caused us no end of problems.

We were poor and offered little. Police and stewards fairly unpleasant and we won't be going ro that pub again.

The high press works they did it superbly but we gifted them two goals. Not sure Farman was to blame for the first think he was holding back for the nod back that never happened and a last ditch header fell to them. Second goal was poor defensively. We huffed and puffed second half to no avail. Two class Farman saves and a brain dead reaction from Proctor who has done us a favour by being missing for three games. Onwards to Tuesday and hopefully we are a different animal.

He's done us a great favour by being unavailable for 3 games!

Regardless, for me, a remainder of the season ban would be just fine.

Pete Wild sees a player for us in him.
He doesn't get many wrong.
Maybe Ged Garner a lot thought, but look at him now at Morecambe.
We have players who never excelled last season but really have this one.
Elliott Newby and George Ray for two.
Maybe Barrow is the wrong club for Proctor but you don't have a long football league career like he has if your not a league standard player.
Patrick Brough, Josh Gordon and Billy Waters all performed well for us last season, but only Broughy has since.

Ref consistency. I’d say a player would appear consistently good by being way above a level. A player would appear consistently bad by being way below a level. If a player is at the appropriate level, then they should appear to be inconsistent.

The big stat there Jim is 23 fouls by Wimbledon.

…and that doesn’t include all the blatant holds, shirt-pulls etc that weren’t given, including one on Ray, I think it was, in the area that impeded a heading chance, and the one that Proctor reacted to that got him sent off.

This for me. All the sniping at Proctor really is calling Pete's judgment into question imo.
As you say, Pete must see something in him.
