I assume you haven’t seen the issue/where it is located. Not sure they have to contend with rebuilding a track in between tide times in London

Seriously, they resurface roads up here and it takes forever, derailments and incidents down south are dealt with as a mater of urgency!! Last weekend they shut a road, albeit the m25 and did a major project and it was done but done under the scheduled time allowed!! Up here it is and always has been a different story, tide or no tide.. every resource available is used.

The work done on the M25 last weekened to remove a bridge has been done up here on the M6 in Lancashire a few times in recentish years.

The day we played and hammered FCUM in the Trophy for one. And those closures were re-opened on the Sunday too.

It just didnt get anywhere near the hype that the M25 did because it isnt in London.

Also worth noting that events such as on M25 last week and those mentioned by Richard on the M6 have huge periods of planning, preparation and follow-up. It all really doesn't happen while the road is closed.

National Rail saying trains won't run now until April 8th which will really mess up many peoples plans for Morecambe

Annoyed I already have my train tickets (nothing can do about it)

Can see it causing serious problems with limited bus service in operation instead of the train and the extra 90mins travel time!!

Might just have to get an earlier rail replacement but the timetable of busses has not been published for 1st April

They will do it now if you go to the station.
