Tbh I think Pete Wild was as shell shocked and hurting after the way we capitulated as everyone else. That certainly came over in AJ’s post match interview.
He showed great empathy in his post match interview, no point in rubbing salt into gaping wounds at the time. And certainly no point as others have done in digging out individuals, there will be a time and place for that after next Saturday or hopefully longer like after the play offs for those that want to do so.
But ultimately it’s always the manager that carries the can, they walk the tightrope from the day they accept the job. Disappointing capitulation today but we are in the play off picture because of the work of Pete Wild and his team.

Game turned when Gotts went off. You cant defend like that and expect to win football matches. I'm sure the wrongs will be righted on Tuesday. Stick by the team as we have all season, make Holker Street a cauldron of noise as its a horrible place to come when the fans do that. We all have a part to play.

Pete Wild interview: 65 mins exactly what we wanted; Donny played gung-ho football - couldn't deal with it; players have to lift themselves; players tearing strips off each other in changing room; Farman assaulted in pitch invasion - stewards did nothing; still in our hands.

You can really feel his disappointment but that assault on Farman could cost Donny.

Wild is right for 65 mins we were excellent and frustrated them. They got a lift from the penalty the crowd erupted and we couldn’t manage the situation.
Its done it’s gone we move on to Tuesday where we have another opportuniy to get the job done.

I`m not but against Swindon people were booing/ getting at the player`s for missed passes etc. this won`t help if this happens on tuesday !

He’s coming up 26, he’s not 16!
And he was alongside Feely, Chester & Canavan can only do so much.
I didn't blame him either way, I blamed PW for putting him/them in that position in the first place.
Back 5 knew what they were doing. As you say, knew where to be, when to go. Change at that point of the game was abysmal.

No disrespect but that’s the attitude that will keep us being happy with L2 football for the next 48. So because we had 48 years playing in non league football we should just be grateful! You cannot just pick and choose when these opportunities come along so you have to grasp them when you have the chance like we did when we came up. If we’d played that season out and got caught do you honestly think we’d be in the FL now because I’ll tell you now, we wouldn’t be! Yes it’s been a good season whatever happens but can we stop this ‘we’re lucky to just be in the league’ [SwearFilter]! We’ve been more than good enough all season to potentially get out of this league so just because it’s going tits up it’s suddenly no big deal if we throw the playoffs away!!

Ive said it before and I will say it again an honourable defeat in the play offs would represent a fantastic season IMO. Not making the playoffs would be disappointing but I would still class it as a good season with progress made. On the pitch we are miles off being ready for league one. Oh and before anyone mentions Stevenage they signed 19 players this season including loans and 16 of them were in the close season. Thats the type of overhaul we would need and I don't believe financially we are in a position to do that.
