Yesterday was like a tsunami of crushing disappointment washing over us in the last 10 or 15 minutes. There is a certain amount of finger-pointing aimed at PW in this thread and although some criticism is probably justified it's fortunate that there are some measured and balanced posts to counter the off-the-leash howls of protest.

I do agree that PW does things sometimes that I can't see the logic of, particularly when it comes to seemingly making substitutions for the sake of making substitutions, as though it's some sport of automatic conditioned procedure that simply has to be done. I struggle to see the sense of hauling off young, hungry, energetic ankle-biters like Gotts and Stephenson when the going was getting tough. But, that said, if I'm asked whether I want Pete Wild here as our manager next season (no matter what happens in the next few days) I will say "100% yes, absolutely".

True Adam. I don't think Wild would have appreciated a question regarding the subs he made yesterday and part of your job is maintaining a harmonious relationship with him. I don't think I've seen / heard Wild as upset as he was yesterday. Maybe it's because he was frustrated with himself - how he managed to let that game slip.

We are in touching distance of the play offs but it is eluding us and we just need one game to turn in our favour and we are there

To be honest, mate, I wouldn’t take any notice of the criticism on here. Some people clearly just like to be negative and pull people apart; and take delight in being negative.

It was an interview between a fanatical supporter and a manger both of who were hurting after what they had witnessed. Not easy for either but you handled it brilliantly Adam as you always do.

With the utmost respect to you Adam, you’re not talking to a friend, your there in a professional capacity & something like pivotal moments in the game should not
‘slip the mind’ no matter how uncomfortable they are to ask.
Listen mate you’re great at what you do and I don’t mean this in a personal way. Listen to every podcast, every interview. And enjoy them all.
But you’re a professional journalist. When you’re there in that capacity, perhaps you can’t also be there as a ‘fan’.
100% appreciate having to keep a relationship with the club, but not if it’s just asking questions they want to answer, and not the ones they don’t.
