With the utmost respect to you Adam, you’re not talking to a friend, your there in a professional capacity & something like pivotal moments in the game should not
‘slip the mind’ no matter how uncomfortable they are to ask.
Listen mate you’re great at what you do and I don’t mean this in a personal way. Listen to every podcast, every interview. And enjoy them all.
But you’re a professional journalist. When you’re there in that capacity, perhaps you can’t also be there as a ‘fan’.
100% appreciate having to keep a relationship with the club, but not if it’s just asking questions they want to answer, and not the ones they don’t.
In Adam’s defence, I think we all forget, because we enjoy his commentary, that’s he’s not a trained journalist just a fan like we all are, that’s doing his dream job getting paid to travel all over the country following the fortunes of the club he’s followed since a child. Keep up the good work AJ.
Whilst I hear what you're saying, the person asking the questions should be asking "what do the fans want to know the answer to?" and if the interviewer is uncomfortable doing that then he could preface a question with a statement like 'Some fans are suggesting that you seem as though you are setting up the team to play for a draw. What would you say to this?" Put the blame on the fans!

Just like Pete, Adam is learning his trade, and although he - presumably - is freelance, if he wants to progress beyond that he should be asking the difficult questions from time to time, but also acknowledge when the team and/or Pete has done well.

Hope this doesn't come across as criticism of Adam - if so it's meant to be positive.

Adam does a great job. I't easy for us armchair critics, but I would imagine it's not easy when you are talking to the manager who has just finished a match in which he is seething at the ref, but has to be careful what he says for the punishment that might come his way.

Carry on doing what you're doing Adam - it's a great job, and hopefully you'll soon be talking to a manager who has got his team into the play-offs, and who knows you could be commentating from Wembley soon! As fans we are as frustrated as Pete probably is but whatever the outcome, it's been a great season! :scarf:

Wild is on Radio Cumbria on the sports show shortly; I would imagine he himself will be more willing to chat than he was on Saturday; you could clearly hear the last thing he wanted to be doing was media duties which was completely understandable after that collapse

I sympathise with that but doing media duties is part of his job.

Wild just cleared up the sub issue, Stephenson had cramp and Gotts went off due to Doncaster putting more height on and we needed to match that. Thanks to Adam for getting Pete on to clear that up.

Maybe if little Gotts stayed on we might not have conceded 3 goals, so if Bradford turn up with more height than us does Gotts not get into the squad tomorrow.

It’s all ifs buts and maybes. Personally I dont have a huge issue with the subs, penalty was given, their crowd erupted and created a 12th man, sh*t happens, seems like yesterday we were playing Fylde as a big game, now look at us. Still 2 huge games to make up for it.

Surely that's the same throughout life isn't it - football or not?

Whether it turns out to be the right decision is sometimes in the lap of the gods. We might but 'x' on and having done their research they bring on 'y' to counteract him. Sometimes it works - other times it doesn't.

Barrow can do this and the lads need all of us to get behind them. With some exceptions, our supporters at home are not renowned for being that vocal, but these two games are just when it's needed.

Just needs a bit of PMA - positive mental attitude. We CAN do it and we WILL do it! :scarf:

You do not take your best player off just because someone that comes on is "taller" absolutely stupid. Donny fans said the same. That is fear and negativity and it spread through the the team. Why sign Robbie in the first place. Almost every player that plays is taller than him. Someone called Messi did ok.

So he brought on Whitfield for Gotts for his added heading ability and physicality!

No

The gotts substitution was that they wanted abit more pace in the midfield BUT didn’t want to sacrifice the height in the side which is why Gotts was ultimately sacrificed for Ben Whitfield

Saturday was a masterclass from Barrow in nullifying the midfield threat from a side that has been destroying sides from that area over the last couple of months. There have been some really strong performances from. Barrow under this leadership team from a minority percentage of possession, effectively ceding the ball to opponents in certain areas, effectively _Have a go if you think you can_.

For over eighty minutes, Barrow's game plan dominated the opposition despite the change in atmosphere from the home crowd who had been subdued until the penalty conversion but who had roared their support thereafter and must have helped to energise the flagging home side.

Three late goals killed off the Barrow side who had given everything in what might have been the win of the season. Ultimately, it wasn't to be but nobody there who saw the distress on players' faces at the end can doubt their commitment to the cause.

A word of praise to the goal scorers who both took their chances superbly. Rory Feely has stepped up to make the most of the opportunities that he must have thought would not come, given the strength of the core at the heart of Barrow's defence. Those who had doubts - I was one - were wrong.

Emile Acquah has shown the ability that
saw him score 13 goals in the NL last season, win the Players' Player of the Year Award and an England C cap. Doing so consistently under the brutish attention from some defenders on his return to the EFL has been a challenge at times but (I think) nine goals from twenty-four seems a fair return. Yet some on here have been disproportionately eager to criticise, something that has also been noted with Tyrell Warren.

With two games to go, Barrow look likely to meet the season's target - a play-off place. A further step forward.

I thought Emile was outstanding on Saturday I ran the line on his own, got no protection whatever from the ref and scored a great goal. There is so much potential there.
