To have not even got a play off place from where we were at Xmas is staggering, absolutely staggering. Can anyone honestly remember a bigger bottle job in football? I can't. This isn't a Wild out post, I'd stop short of that. But he needs to come back with a massive point to prove next season. He also needs to stop with this "it's been a brilliant season whatever" and "remember who we are" shite as it's incredibly irritating.

I wouldn’t say looking to get a reaction at all. There are some very valid points made. The team stalled in the latter stages of the season it’s clear to see for all.
The team set the bar themselves by totting up an excellent return until the run in and have underachieved for me barring a couple of results since FGR at home.
I still think we have the right people in charge of the players going forward. But lessons definitely need learned from all for the curve continue in right trajectory going forward.
Be interesting to see who PW wants to take on to the next level discounting those that have already decided to try something new.

We have been awful since Xmas with the odd notable exception, relegation form. Even not conceding that Tyler Smith goal in the 91st minute on Tuesday would've been enough for a play off place. We were all but guaranteed a play off place as a minimum, and somehow we've contrived to balls it up. Whilst doing so we've also had to listen to our manager tell us we should be grateful for where we are because we're Barrow.

Those are the reasons I'd not have clapped us off today, not for today's performance but for the monumental bottle job that has been the second half of our season.

It's a learning curve but PW needs to succeed next season.

If only Campbell had scored the penalty v Harrogate, even a point v Bradford on Tuesday wouldn`t have been enough 70pts same has Crawley both on +6 Crawley scored more, just have to take it on the chin, Pete Wild saying retained list should be out next week talking to the players on Monday.

If the team had played for the last 6 weeks like they played today with passion, intensity and determination, like their lives depended on it, we would have cemented our play-off spot several matches ago.

I always cringe when so-called Striker Proctor comes on (88th min) but I thought 'what the heck, one last throw of the dice, why not Gamble with Proctor'.

But with 1 minute to go in added time, when this veteran had the ball at his feet in a central position just outside the penalty area and in desperate need of a goal, instead of shooting and possibly becoming the Club's hero, he chose to lamely pass the ball wide and the play fizzled.

Sorry Jamie, sadly you've been a real disappointment and I hope your name is at the top of the Release List.

Think Wild's got to come in for some form of criticism even if he won't let Adam ask him anything verging on the negative side of his tactics.

Adam can ask what he wants. If Wild chooses not to answer then he should be asked why he hasn't answered. If he throws his toys out of the pram then so be it. It will reflect on him, not Adam who is only doing his job.

You are spot on my mistake the goal came from feeley throw in but Worrall beaten to the header. Mansfield missed out by 1 goal last season makes it sickening.

Spot on. We need to stop with all this crap .. know where we are nonsense. By all accounts we have a play off budget we didn't make the play offs.. therefore failure.

I always get slated for saying we have the little Barrow mentality but the manager and a lot of our fans do.

Great atmosphere in the Holker Street end today, not seen anything like it since our previous spell in the League back in the 60s, especially when our goal went in.

Pete Wild improved the team last season from bottom four to mid table, and further improved this season to just one point from the play-offs. He deserves praise for that, not criticism. I hope he continues that trajectory so that we have many more days like today. If people want a scapegoat, then how about the ref who gave the penalty at Crawley last week.

Not sure what our budget is but the likes of Wrexham, Stockport were paying more than us in the National league when they took on Rooney, Quigley, Mullin etc. and looking at who is on their books now I would say they blow most teams out of the water in league 1 as well.

I dare say some players Stockton and Telford are on very good money probably Chester too, but a lot of our players are younger and have come from lower leagues so I can't imagine we are at the top end or at the bottom, maybe somewhere in the middle.
I think for a proper promotion push we needed to add a couple more players in January but signing Stockton alone showed some intent, be nice to get him permanently with a good strike partner.

It's no coincidence that the three sides with the biggest budgets in league 2 finished in the top 3. I would say that another 6 clubs in league 2 have higher budgets than us

It's not all down to budgets surely so if we pay Garner £10,000 a week that doesn't make him better than Mullin, just shows what a waste of time some players are taking money for very little work, before the game Jones and Heeney wished us all the best for today players like that got paid but earned the money .

Bar Newby and Junior, we have zero genuine pace anywhere in the team and its telling in most games. If i had choice id get rid of Telford, Worrall and Proctor sharpish plus a few others. Newby needs to be more consistant else hes a squad player at best.
