If he’s gone because he was being tapped up elsewhere it would have been nice to get the pay off.

If he’s gone because he bottled it by not getting us in the play offs from a great position. Then fair enough. But I do wonder who could come in and do a better job.

Board need to explain what has happened, why did we fall apart before Christmas and never recovered, was money not made available for a player to continue the push, more questions than answers.

We are looking for a 'Head Coach' rather than a manager. A shift in emphasis?

That statement is standard spiel. I would imagine both parties will have signed an NDA as to the real reason he has gone.

Assume it’s advertised as that so it’s clear Wood has control ultimately

Not surprised, since Xmas some of the home performances were shocking, we played a lop sided formation ( square pegs in round holes) . I don't think Pete actually believed we were good enough and in the end started doubting himself.
If we had have gone up ,I can only think of the excuses he'd have come out with, a nice guy and wish him well!

How much do you think Stockton cost in wages, come on get in the real world, the directors have just got 2 stands and we had no cup runs to generate extra cash and have really poor gate's for the position we were in. !

Presumably the club will not be paying any sort of severance payment.
