Why have we appointed a manager who was sacked from a club that finished lower than us. ! I wish him well,but right now I am a bit underwhelmed and baffled.

Stephen Clemence isn't a name that I would have thought would have been on anybody's radar for this role. Iain Wood as Sporting Director hasn't got a lot wrong since he came in in fact he has been pretty much the boards best appointment IMO. Good luck to our new head coach

I don't know whether Wood was involved in signing Garner, Proctor, Worrall and Telford but whoever was got plenty wrong!

Proctor openly stated that Wild tried to sign him the season before we did and kept in touch with him throughout his last season at Port Vale. Garner was one Wild knew as a kid playing football in Liverpool and followed his career.

So basically average overall. Of the 8 mentioned only Campbell and Spence really good signings, IMO. i.e. good enough for a top EFL 2 team.

When you go for a mixture of youth and experience there are no guarantees with players.
Ian Wood has done remarkably well with the resources at his disposal and we have a great nucleus for the new team going forward.
Everything looks right for another decent season and I'm sure with 10 years experience of coaching at high profile clubs SC will do just fine. Can't wait for the summer signings now.

Well he’s said all the right things in his first interview. He needs to get us scoring more goals.
My only reservation is that he’ll be trying the same footballing blueprint as every other side- “high press, possession” it seems to be the modern way. The only problem is that usually only those with the best squads and best individual players comes out on top. Liked it or not- Wild got us a way to win without necessarily being the most technical / prettiest side.
