Where to sit

Post by Griffin » Mon Jul 15, 2024 10:15 am

Some advice please.
I now have a base in Flookburgh and intend to get to several Barrow games next season.
I am 72 so would prefer to sit, so which stand would be the most suitable?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Griffin. You have some options- The covered Brian Arrowsmith main stand is the largest seated area and is positioned across the half way line of the pitch, alternatively you have a smaller covered family stand closer to the Steelworks(Crossbar) End of the ground or if you prefer to be behind a goal, there is an open seated area at the Steelworks End.

Here’s a link with some matchday and ticketing info….

I can personally say that the seats at the steelworks end, while uncovered, offer a great view and have been a good addition to that end of the ground.

Edit - my Dad sits that end and he is a decade your senior 👍🏻

Unfortunately doesn't matter where you sit always going to be something obstructing your view in both home stands, away fans constantly critising the view but not a lot the Club can do about it, even the Holker St end and popular side have many pillars in your way just the way the ground is constructed.

Steelworks end for the win (apart from the odd person walking to and fro)

Brian Arrowsmith stand for me. A good view from the sidelines as you would get on the TV.

Sat in the family stand a few times with my grandkids- can be a bit draughty at times plus don't sit on any of the first two rows of seats if its raining! I presume the cladding will improve the situation?

So agree go with Brian Arrowsmith Stand if possible.
