I can see him going to Carlisle when simpson gets the boot.

Why would we want him?
If rumours about him sulking and ignoring numerous important phone calls from his directors at Barrow are true, I doubt any EFL BOD or club will take him on soon.

Atbthe moment Scott Lindsay is favourite but cannot see that happening, unemployed ex League 2 manager I doubt Wild will be in the reckoning, although think he is a decent manager.
Lowe wasn't sacked mutual consent malarky, aka the vast majority of the supporters wanted him gone.

He has a lot of development to do both tactically and professionally if he has any ambition of managing higher up then us. I think he was a good man but at times came across as a petulant child without a plan b. His style of football can only get you so far

No we're not.
Virtually no one has mentioned Wild coming to Carlisle.
If/ when Simpson goes, I'm sure we'll have plenty of applicants. Who knows, maybe even Stephen Clemence might apply.

I think most people on here have been reasonably objective, and acknowledged his strengths and weaknesses. You can think someone is doing a decent job without feeling they are ready for 'promotion'. As you suggest it could be interesting to follow if he reappears at a 'bigger' club.

Pete Wild did a great job for us that's not in question. Towards the end of his tenure his limitations and stubbornness showed. His passion and enthusiasm are infectious amongst the team he manages but that alone does not guarantee success and ultimately he hasn't achieved a promotion in his career. His style of football gets results but is a tough watch and is not entertaining. Saturdays game at Holker street under the management of Stephen Clemece had some of the best football seen at Holker street since the Evatt days IMO. Something Wilds team didn't do.
