Also, ifollow cut off pretty much straight after game - again - so no chance hear post-match. Would be happy to text in if that’s what RC want us to do to get them to talk about something other then Carlisle, but no point doing that if I can’t get the coverage in Gtr Manc!

Just a perfect day...
Sliding doors moment - what if their striker had slotted home that easy chance at 1-0?
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

Switch to BBC Sounds, you'll get it there. Lots of comments came in yesterday.

Great to hear Coxy co-commentating and summarising yesterday, picking out our midfield trio for their solid performances. He put a good hard working side together and his win rate was right up there. Not sure if he’s still In football management. Would be great to have an insight into his time at Barrow and that mad unbeaten run we went on.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

Was sacked by Boston United September last year.

He was at Boston but seemed to leave Barrow under a bit of a cloud.
I think it was under Pappa Casson .
He went to Guisley took players from Barrow but also signed a incredibly number of players before being sacked

Well that was my first game at HS and my first visit to Barrow in over a year and I certainly picked a good one; my youngest daughter who supports Arsenal didn’t know what to make of it when we rocked up at the fan zone - she’s only ever been to the The Emirates and Portman Road (she thought that was a slum 😂)so our place was a big culture shock for her.
Nevertheless she’s asked me to buy her a Barrow shirt and bring her again - she loved it. 😊

On the game itself I thought the first half was cagey and tight as per we expected but as soon as the first went in the result was only going one way….it’s very early days but this should give us a massive boost for Harrogate next week.

On our EFL Cup game v Derby I’d expect Paul Warne to take note of this performance when selecting his team - he won’t want an embarrassing night under the lights on a cold night in Lancashire!

We must have the best and most hard working midfielders in this league, I just hope we can get over the line and still have them after deadline day this Saturday.

Cheers to those telling me to switch to Sounds. Obvs the match isn’t on there but didn’t think about picking it up afterwards for the post-match.

Just a word on the referee yesterday Declan Bourne. As with the game IMO it was one of the best displays of officiating at Holker street for many a year.

I have to agree about the referee. Great to see one that didn't make it all about himself9, did whatever he could to keep the game flowing by playing advantage, and kept his cards in his pocket until he had no option. Only wish we could have more like him every week.

A lot of Port Vale fans don't seem to like Darren Moore as their manager.
