Thought it was great when Steve Clemence worshipped the fans , just hope this game hasn't took too much out of the player's both physical and mental, it's a big ask now for 2 tough away games so we'll have to wait and see., but really enjoyed it ,tired now and nearly got lost last night ( full panic on !🤣 ),onwards we go !

Thoughts,
Our supporters were fantastic
Wonderful ground to visit
Chelsea fans a credit
Our team performed well
The fitness/ability of Chelsea was very impressive
Return journey eventful and arduous
Next time it’s definitely a stop over.

A FANTASTIC NIGHT FOR BARROW AFC

Now back to what really matter, the league :scarf:

Friendly Chelsea fan again: hope you all got home safely, enjoyed your day and get promotion. Any other sort of analysis from me would probably sound patronising, which I wouldn't want to be.

Did the din sound pleasant enough from the Barrow faithful. Most enjoyed the experience despite the dominance after the first five minutes and gulf in class the support and the team never gave up.👌

With Arsenal beating League 1 Bolton 5-1 and Liverpool besting Premier League West Ham 5-1, our 5-0 last night doesn’t look too bad?
On a different point, is it fair that their third goal goes down as Farman own goal? It hit the post and went in off his back - Felix should be awarded it.

Hit the post so it doesn’t class as a shot on target unfortunately
And as it has come back out and hit the back of Farman and gone in then OG is the correct result

I took my Grandson with me to Stamford Bridge. Both he and I had one heck of a great time, he saw the power of the non-stop singing fans, that sang almost the whole game from the teir above us. He took many pictures and a huge bunch of videos, His even asked if I would take him up to Barrow (I live in London now) to watch a game surrounded by Bluebirds.

We talked about the game on the way home and both came to the same conclusion. We gave our best and I personally was immensely proud of our team that night, I even had a lump in my throat when the manager and the whole team came to our stand at the end of those ninety minutes and clapped the support we all gave throughout the whole ninety plus minutes.

In my eyes, we showed up and did what we could. The continued support of those around my grandson and I, also showed the Chelsea supporters that we never lowered our heads, our team stayed and played and I’m just so proud of every single one of them.

If one wish remained unanswered, it was that we could have at least replaced the zero with a one on the scoreboard that evening.

Yeah, you made your presence felt. These games are always a lose-lose for us now - win 5-0 and it's 'well, it was only xxxx'; lose or draw and it's a terrible result. And the atmosphere from the home fans, with all due respect, is never going to be the same as for when we play, say, Spurs.

Great post - it's what the game is all about.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

We get that and you should hear us when we play Morecambe! You've been very magnanimous my friend and your people were a credit also which was unexpected given some of the trash talking elsewhere. Incidentally, did you know we had two guys from Barrow in our squad? Can you beat that?

No he can’t. There was definitely no one from Barrow in the Chelsea squad.

I asked my Chelsea season-ticket holder mate, via WhatsApp, if he enjoyed the match:

'Well, we won. Your fans were brilliant, very vocal'.

Coming from him, that is praise indeed.
