Can see Morecambe going down this year if they do I do not think they will come back up for a few years if at all.

They certainly know where the net is, and have very decent strikers. Wonder if we could maybe swap a couple, say Tollit and Hope.

Tollit and Hope were two of the 15 signed in a day pre-season. After bursting on to the scene a few years back Tollit drifted into obscurity and has played for 6 different non-league clubs in the last 4 years. Hope is a more interesting one mainly for an off-field incident a couple of years ago.He was allegedly attacked on the car-park by a Chesterfield player after a game with Oldham his then club. Turned out the player was non other than ex-Bluebird Mike Jones and was rumoured to be related to Jones' wife and involvement with Hope while they were both at Carlisle.in relation to the game itself I've watched the highlights of their game with Forest. The Forest kids ran them ragged for the first half and should have been out of sight but for poor finishing and good goalkeeping. Interesting to note that Ray and White weren't involved even on the bench (may be injured of course)

They are both injured. Ray got crocked on opening day, White more recently.

Unlike many on here,personally I don’t have a dislike of Morecambe,in our non league days they were similar support wise to us,at home anyway,they’ve never had the away following we have bizarrely.On being promoted to the EFL,they’ve had a decent journey and gradually built their fan base.I also think there is a good chance they could go down this season,now that gob shite Fury hasn’t delivered on his promise to invest. Their support isn’t aggressive or disruptive when they come to town or when we visit,unlike the Carlisle crew,they are actually a decent bunch. Will be another tough game Saturday,hopefully we can perform to our best,and our forwards do the business.

Agree they are a good bunch and remember the 'welcome back' airplane flyover banner? Quite unique that I think. Also on the subject of neighbourliness I understand a local businessman and AFC supporter has plans to finally build that bridge across the bay thus saving time on Derby Day and helping with our net zero ambitions. And talking of net zero, I wonder who will start upfront tomoz?

I like .Morecambe when we were in meltdown after Vaughan era Kettering and Morecambe said we should only be relegated to the league below while Workington said we should be relegated two leagues.

Agreed. We were godawful there and it was the start of our terrible run-in. A ‘bump in the road’ the size of the slagbank.

The thing to bear in mind about Derek Adams is that he could get a tune out of a bent fiddle. However poor they may appear to be he’ll always get the best out of what’s available.

I wouldn’t expect tomorrow’s encounter to be much different to any other against a bottom half team. Anything we get we will have to work for. Both teams are affected by injuries and I expect a bit of a scrap. Hope we are up to it.

Indeed, he did. I have to regularly remind people on the television of that fact. But they never listen.
