Completely open and games are just ruined. Even given that, Morecambe turned out to be just as bad as their league position said they would be and Barrow were clearly the better football team although that wasn't saying a lot! However, as a few of us have been saying since the season started, we have been carried by a good defence (now without 2 key players in Farman and Canavan) and 2 good midfielders in Campbell and Spence. Our attacking force is now proving just how poor they are and unless we pick up a couple of even average strikers we will continue to drift down to the position I always expected in the bottom half of the league. We have now scored no goals in 5 of the last 6 matches and I honestly can't see us winning against anybody away from home unless we do as Morecambe today and manage a win without doing anything. A great shame as this is the poorest EFL2 since we were promoted by a large margin with not one outstanding team but the teams who end up in the top 8 will all have at least 1 striker with some pace and/or a goalscorer. We don't have any with pace, skill or energy.
If Spence and Campbell are that good, why do they seem incapable of creating a chance for our strikers? I could understand this constant slating of the strikers if they were missing a hatful of chances, but we don’t create any chances for them to finish. We played with two wingers today and put in one half decent cross throughout the game. Whilst the strikers haven’t been great, they havent been helped with non existent service

You are correct to an extent but spence and Campbell and foley to extent are the heartbeat of that team. Out wide and upfront was where we struggled today. People saying we need canavan and Farman back, what would they of improved today..? Not saying I wouldn’t love them in the team but don’t think over last 4/5 games there lies the issue

Well a real comedown today.Difficult conditions but same for both sides. We don’t have many true derbys and I have never seen us win one yet.The really annoying thing is we get a decent crowd attendance and put our foot in it every time.Thought overall we were the better team but we didn’t shoot at goal enough didn’t seem to have a leader today.Telford is becoming the invisible man has gone right off.Think we made a poor team look good.Thought Foley played well today but not many stood out today.Fortunately some around us lost as well still in good position but room for improvement.Rather be in our situation then Carlisle fans.Confident manager can sort it out.Off topic pleased that we have promoted our sporting director to CEO.Good move.On to the next match keep the faith.

Don’t think Farman would’ve made a difference, stanway couldn’t do anything for the goal but did flap one cross where he ended up in the goals not sure if he was bumped. Canavan isn’t just a good defender but a good passer too and a lot comes down the left side from him. Vassell doesn’t look as good on the ball to me and was caught a few times. Stokes is solid but made one mistake which let the gangly Morecambe forward in one on one and Jackson got back to save him.

As for Spence and Campbell it wasn’t their best game I thought Spence was a bit off it but Foley was excellent and I was amazed he was subbed. He was the only one with any urgency and drive. Campbell never has a bad game and maybe had one or two loose passes but they can’t do everything themselves. The service from wide as someone else said was non existent, and the forwards weren’t enough of a threat. It’s not a one off either.

I said at the start I’d be concerned if Feeley was more than a back up player and I stand by that. Wasn’t good enough last year. I’d prefer to see eccleston starting.

Dallas on the right wing makes the pitch 10 yards narrower than it needs to be, plus taking Feely off with his throw in capabilities in those conditions was ridiculous. On an another day we win 1-0 so move onto the next one, it’s going to be a mental league this year so just need to stick in it around to top end for the run in.

The worst part both about today is we’ve all turned up and the limited edition shirts haven’t

Well it looks like my prediction came true when I said banana skin incoming.Lots of huff and puff and nothing to show for it.Too much sideways passing instead of being more direct.I thought Kouyate did well getting so many crosses in the box but nobody got on the end of them. Our defence let us down again. We had loads of possession but half the time it came to nothing.I couldn't fault Morecambe's goal
It was beautiully placed and well taken, just a pity we couldn,t do that .Hopefully the players will look at where they went wrong and make sure we win against Accrington next Saturday. If we lose against them questions will have to be asked about our team selection and preparation.

Going into the winter, the management needs to genuinley appreciate how big of an impact the wind has on the proceedings at HS. Playing balls persistently down the right channel when even goal kicks are being blown out of play on that side when kicked down the middle probably isn’t advisable. Oh and I think one of Jackson’s free kicks has just landed in Grange.

This is a league which has no outstanding teams like Stockport or Wrexham.
Well done to Morecambe who clearly wanted it more then Barrow.,they packed there defence and broke up field .

When Dallas hit the post someone should have followed up and put it in the net.
We keep having a lot of the play but not scoring.

The weather conditions were the same for both teams.

He chucked every throw in straight to the keeper

Think Jackson summed up yesterday’s game really. He’s been great this season so far but his delivery was absolutely dreadful. You can carry 1 or 2 below par players in League Two but almost everyone was off it yesterday. Obviously a tough decision to make but was genuinely surprised to hear Spence get MOM, even he was below par.
Our record against Carlisle and Morecambe is embarrassing tbh, and not really sure how we change that. We just freeze when we play them

Well you've got to laugh l suppose - we chuck on every striker we have at the club but nay, nay and thrice nay. I heard there was going to be a tannoy announcement to ask if Colin Cowperthwaite was in the crowd somewhere but they were having problems with the mic apparently. Most would agree by now that Dallas is the best of a very lacklustre bunch and has to start. In his right-wing(?) cameo yesterday he hit the post and knocked down a decent header but of course there wasn't anyone anticipating it. We have a problem and we have to solve it - somehow.

Garner can’t play up top on his own. He drops too deep at times in the first half we got into great positions out wide and garner was half way down the pitch having been involved in the build up. Garner with Dallas could be the way to go

Indeed, we need two up top at home as a bare minimum otherwise nothing seems to happen goalwise as witnessed in the last two home games.
