For me there isn’t much difference between being a good team and poor team in the division this year. It’s going to be tight, just need to stick with it.

Can’t agree with a few points there Mike.olbarrafancumbak wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 8:38 pmWind your head in nige..
You are missing my point!
Prior to our blockbuster mega payday once in a lifetime stadium day at chelski, we were flying! Since then we have dropped off massively through injuries, tiredness d probably fatigue. So I guess it's down to what we want, do we want money in the bank and a day out or continued success up the league or leagues? Yes I know we need finance to do that but these days is a big day out a good thing or a bad thing for the club?
My point and my view is simple.. I would rather us be fit, not suffering with injury and fatigue and be 3-6-9 points better off..
That's my view and I'm entitled to that!
Don't be giving it "guess your not one of them" [SwearFilter] tit
Fielding a weakened team for an FAC isn’t fair to fans and let’s be honest, if a floating supporter sees a team sheet with a load of fringe players in, is that going to entice them to attend?
Also, wins breed success and confidence.
Any lastly…..tiredness & fatigue! We aren’t even into November yet.
For me it’s field the best team available and, take the money and hope for a bigger draw next round.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Positive.
Mahoney looked class when he came on.
Composed in the final 3rd of the pitch and put some class passes including the one for Kian Spence that their keeper did well to save.
Hopefully our striker now have somebody to feed them, creating chances, something we have been seriously lacking.

All valid points Ian but for me, a good push for promotion or playoffs would be my choice over a game or two in the cup. Thought it was a good interview with Stockdale post match, as Clemence's have been recently. They're obviously frustrated with the lack of clinicality in the final third same as we all are, and it's always good to see coaches look at ourselves before blaming refs, as he said the game should've been put to bed before that.
Popular side since '03.
Re: Bromerlee FC (A) match thread
First half we got more things right than wrong but frustratingly could’t add to Garners well taken goal. Second half a change in formation and the inclusion of Cheek occupied us more and their bigger players bullied us so credit to Bromley there.
The introduction of Stokes when we did was a bit baffling as we had no outlet in the final third. But if we held out we wouldn’t be moaning as much, but we didn’t and we paid the price with what looked like a very debatable penalty. And understandably SC rightly frustrated questioned the decision……. Possibly a little strongly which led to his dismissal. Not sure if there will be any sanctions for walking the shortest route to the tunnel as funny as it was at the time.
Fine margins and we are showing shoots of recovery in our play we just have to match that with shots on target then all should be well.
Doncaster, we play our best available team get some more game time into Canavan and Mahoney and a cameo from Kirk and hopefully progress.

The giveaway to the penalty decision is the home crowd behind the goals not one of them reacts or appeals!, I think someone has put their hand up ( but not touched the ball) the Ref has noticed this and assumed that they touched it ,I've looked at it a dozen times and can't see anything

Two games in a row and penalty decisions that have cost us the three points.

sorry but cant see a hand anywhere near his head. Wish there was a side view mind.
Re: Bromerlee FC (A) match thread
It was a penalty. I was in the away end spotted it straight away. Look at the picture above, u can literally see the barrow players arm next to his head
Look at Dean Campbells reaction on the highlights, he sees it and turns to the ref straight away to say no

Well done beachy01 for spotting it straight away I feel a lot better now knowing the referee has made a brilliant decision but like you said it was a definitely penalty surprise Campbell didn't receive a yellow card for hand ball.

Who committed the offence please would like to know why our player thought he could get away with a balant hand ball that the referee could clearly see like you did.beachy01 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 12:28 pmIm glad u feel alot better BTGbehind the goals wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 12:24 pm Well done beachy01 for spotting it straight away I feel a lot better now knowing the referee has made a brilliant decision but like you said it was a definitely penalty surprise Campbell didn't receive a yellow card for hand ball.
