I think part of the NHS plan was to evict/relocate Furness Rovers and build a Portacabin city to accommodate both construction and AFC requirements temporarily. It was said that ASDA owned the land and were on-board with the proposals at the time.

On that point I wonder how long Furness Rovers lease on the training pitch has to run.

If it was me I would just get rid of the crossbar, I was quite impressed by the stand behind the goal at Bromley at the weekend... something like that would be ideal with hospitality also

Well obviously we are going nowhere but the thread is about future proposals that may be taking place with stakeholders being the government, BAE, the council and potentially Barrow RL and AFC.

Pulse is or was the company that ran the Leisure facilities at the Park and they ran the football facilities into the ground. It’s now back under the council umbrella.

I can't disagree with any of that. It's an utter disgrace that Barrow does not have at least one full size 4G Pitch. The town did once have a Barrovian working in a paid capacity representing the area for the FA but for the life of me I can think of a single benefit he brought to Barrow regarding football.

Come of it if your having a swipe at TC, he worked as a coach for Lancashire FA bringing something to do for many youngsters in the area especially during the school holidays way before we had anything else in the area to improve the local kids on the football front especially those that weren’t privileged enough to be taken on by football league clubs. Some even got the opportunity to progress by being part of these coaching sessions. The kids loved their time there, with some going on to coach in the youth set up at Barrow too.
If I remember correctly Inside Out later emerged through The Doc and other such ventures followed.
