I do wonder sometimes whether substitutions are part of the problem. Go for subs if we are losing, but keep the same eleven (barring injuries) if we are winning. Kirk and Popov for Eccleston and Spence is not going to make the defence stronger. Having said that, it seems like a catstrophic error of judgement by Vassell.

Last 3 league games when winning, we conceded 90+2, 90+1, 90+3, 2 of them PENALTIES, to throw away 6 points.

Otherwise, we'd be in 2nd place.
