Not a great game to watch.
Glad I have a run of weekends at work.

Telford was decent. Ran his heart out worked his butt off. Some very clever link up play with some great lay offs. Lack of game time showed second half as he tired but I agree his all round play was good
💯 this he played really well today!
Yes Telford worked very hard. Unfortunately he’s never going to profit in the air from crosses into the box and he’s not a Stockton who can run with the ball when put into space. A couple of occasions he received the ball with clear space in front of him, he chose not to run with the ball but wait for wing support. He nearly got on the end of a couple of decent moves but that says it all really. He is a finisher not a creator but he just doesn’t finish.

They should’ve scored when their winger cut inside, then the pull back to Spence balloms ir, we got a good break away goal today but apart from that nothing again. We’ve not got over the half way line second half we’ve just sat in our defensive has just hoofed it forward to Dom Telford who’s 5 foot which is no offence to him. They deserved the draw, the goal he’s fell over but regardless that was a bad performance, never an advocate of getting rid of a manager but after the new manager bounce we’ve been terrible, the next run of fixtures too interesting times….!
Think he needs to be gone in December if nothing changes.

We are two points off the play offs get a grip man. It's not as if we are three points adrift at the foot of the table.

Agreed. We shouldn't be changing manager unless we really are in the dog dirt. That's why I didn't agree with the change in the summer, although I could understand the Board's point of view at the time - he'd been backed two seasons in succession and if anything last season's capitulation was worse than the first. I was fearful of a big hangover as a result of that leading into this season. Someone would need to do a good job of convincing me we'd be any better this season under Wild, a lot of the criticisms now are the same as what were levelled at him. We saw out a lot of games similar to today, but we arguably had worse runs of form in the context of where we were in the season.

Sense at last!

If we were in Morecambes shoes, then absolutely let's talk about managerial positions but as it stands, we are not in that position. We are in realm terms, a few points off playoff places and YES we are having a dip but we are not loosing too much ground yet.
I still think that the Chelsea game took it's toll on us and we have suffered since. Great for the publicity, excitement and payday but not great for the league.
This season there is nothing in it from top to bottom and I doubt we will have one or two running away with it come May but for us, we have to stick together, we must not turn on the team or manager just yet and ride these bumps in the road. We all wanted total football and we have definitely played better in some games but now I think it's time the team rolled the sleeves up and stated to win ugly if needs be.
I'm an ideal world we would be in maximum points but reality is, it's football and unfortunately we have to accept it's not a given right to simply have three points every single game.
A point is a point and it's better than no point at all!

Keep the faith, it will turn its corner and we will click and kick in again!

I’m have never been of the opinion that the board wanted Wild to leave hence they have always insisted he was never sacked. Circumstances of what they were we will never know due to both parties agreeing to NDAs meant a parting of the ways was agreed and left us where we are today

Happy to eat my words but a similar thing happened at Gillingham and sideways passing, can you realistically see us getting in the playoffs now the league is setting down after 15 games? We sat in last year under Wild but at least we had a threat going forward, albeit apart from the end of the season. We just don’t create anything and anyone who says otherwise I question what game they’re watching, solid at the back again one of the best in the league but one of the worse scoring and don’t score don’t win. We won’t go down but stinks of mid table mediocrity and zero improvement from last year

Good post that I wholeheartedly agree with. Never let be forgotten that Ian Evatt lost 6 games in a row when managing Barrow in his first season and look what he went on to achieve for us in season 2.

I can see us there or there about come May yes. A good football teams foundation is built on its defence and we certainly have a bloody good foundation to build from!!

The forward line is lacking, we all know that and until January comes there is not a lot we can but it's now clemmences chance to get the team to keep us there, possibly get them scoring..ffs, I would accept it if the team lady scores but it's his job, it's for him to rise now and prove to us all why he is in the hot seat and although it may not seem like it right now, we have to back him, support him and give him time to get over this crappy patch. There is no "I" in team and we are as much apart of this team as then players are! At this moment in time, we are NOT in a relegation scrap so let's not all loose our heads, let's do what we do best and get right behind them and then look and see where we are and how we are doing come January.

Getting a bit repetitive this. Is Clemence stupid or just tactically inept? Playing one lone striker hasn't worked in weeks. Maybe he wants away? Mahoney isn't worth a start. Telford and Dallas with Newby traversing either flank would've been a proactive formation with what he had available today. The guys on borrowed time, it's tedious to watch and we never looked like putting that game to bed today. Yet, like most observers i still think there's a decent team amongst the squad, strikers apart. January transfers going to be interesting.

Two wins from nine.
If we don't score first we get beat.
If we score we cannot get a second letting teams in to draw or get beat.
We concede to many goals last minute.

Good question. When we had a bad result under Mark Cooper he'd generally mention the fact it was windy etc. Pete Wild would generally just refer to bumps in the road. Stephen Clemence generally makes good points about what went wrong and today was no exception. I hope that means he can sort it but it doesn't always follow.

Agree full marks to Stephen Clemence he always calls the match as it was, unlike some of our previous Managers.
