Chesterfield v Barrow, match thread
Re: Chesterfield v Barrow, match thread
Not to dwell on the past, but Wild had a confidence about him (ok we had a sh*t time post Christmas) like when he was asked at the qna about Bradford/Stockport he said “bring it on” the pre March interview today with Clemence went something like “I ain’t no pep Guidiola”
Re: Chesterfield v Barrow, match thread
It’s hard not to get frustrated with this. We took off Dallas for Kouyate who is not forward, has scored the grand total of zero goals and left Telford sat on the bench?
I don’t understand the game plan at all.

The games about opinions and I don’t agree. Paul Coxs analysis of the game was spot on imoMark Johnson wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:56 pmWe got exactly what we deservedMain Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:55 pm We didn’t deserve that. Once again we have played some decent stuff without any luck. Not sure what the team have done for the luck to dessert us so much. Even Paul cox said In commentary we are good side and Chesterfield have stole that game but he expects us to be up there come the end of the season. Injuries to key players are sadly killing us atm

These are games that, if we were not on such a winless run, you would shrug your shoulders and say not our day. Stats say Barrow had 8 shots and 3 on target, Chesterfield 6 shots and 1 on target. It has become a syndrome now that must be playing on the players' mind.

The players deserved more but my opinion is based on some of the decisions our manager made.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:59 pmThe games about opinions and I don’t agree. Paul Coxs analysis of the game was spot on imo

We don’t score goals, we don’t win games. Simple as that.

Dallas was looking sharp I thought and was linking up well and found himself in space on 2 occasions. I feel the longer the game went on , he would have found another opportunity .. but he was hauled off at 70mins and we have no centre forwards on the pitch .. very strange.
Koyate should have come on, but for Mahoney who looked tired in that second half

Re: Chesterfield v Barrow, match thread
If we look at the last lot of games we are conceding late on and not scoring enough.
It really is time to draw a line under this. I am all for giving people a chance and you can have a bit of bad luck but it is a results business 3pts in the last 9 games. How many other managers would survive????

Fortunate we've had a good start to the season, getting beat late on every game is a sure sign you'll be closer to the bottom than the top come the end. Players mentality needs questioning just as much as the manager now. Some very confusing subs all same, it all feels very desperate to me

I am sure the real ex footballerJason Walker will not be impressed by you .Being offensive is so ignorant in this way.We are all gutted with result.I was expecting us to get thumped so very disappointing for everyone that we nearly got a point and helps no one.I hope that the moderator takes action to remove you from this forum because you let the true fans of this club down.Criticise the performance by all means but no need for such language.

We well deserved a point from the game. But the subs were strange to say the least Dallas replaced by kouate and leave Kirk On. He should have been subbed way earlier..cost us the game. Watch the highlights.....the corner comes in and Kirk stands back and watches their player have a free header.
No one attacked the ball....but he was the closest.

Dallas took a heavy knock first half taken from behind that should have been a free kick and a booking. Perhaps he was feeling the effects of that.Mark Johnson wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:04 pm Dallas was looking sharp I thought and was linking up well and found himself in space on 2 occasions.
