It's not political point scoring, I've always been a Labour supporter .

Ascot allegations about VSEL it's a fact.

That's the problem let's just ignore everything .
I acknowledged how he deserved it but that does not mean you look at it in isolation.
Well done again Paul.

Well done Paul.

It’s good to have a Chairman who is thought worthy of an honour than one who is worthy of a couple of years in Walton jail.

My source is a lad who does alot of charity work and was awarded one .
I said it's good you received it for the work you do and he said no it came via VSEL.
So VSEL no doubt put his name forward for the charity work he did. To receive an award you have to be nominated, not win a lucky dip.
No it was not for the charity work in his words awards go to the Management of the charity .
VSEL asked him if he would accept it for the time he worked in the yard..
Basically lucky dip.

Totally agree unlike Archer who was done for perverting the course of justice.
That's my last word as Paul does deserve it .

No doubt how Sir Leonard Redshaw got his knighthood - he won the raffle!

Anyway that’s all from me on the subject.

As Jim says let’s celebrate Mr. Hornby’s well deserved honour.

I have to confess I was completely unaware of Paul Hornby's contributions and only know him as our Chairman. But it is hugely heartening to know that we seemingly have such an outstandingly decent individual at the helm of our football club (and not forgetting to mention the recently passed Brian Keen who also did amazing work to help us).

When we go back less than 30 years and remember that we had the shadiest figure imaginable running our club and now we have somebody of true merit then it's a gratifying way to go into 2025. It's really good to learn of all this and massive thanks and congratulations go to Paul.

Congratulations to Paul Hornby . A thoroughly decent man and a leader in his community. Thanks also to him and Tony Shearer and our other board members for L2 football , the journey we are on and hopefully a bright future.

Well done Paul. Great to see these awards going to people who have done something to deserve them. Makes a change from the sycophants once again moaning that a certain ex-footballer hasn't been given his knighthood. They need to be told you don't get it for counting your millions, polishing your ego and turning up at the opening of an envelope.

If he manages that, he deserves a knighthood!
