My bad, it was Stockdale. Do apologize...
To be honest he probably couldn't do any worse!😂

I don't agree that Canavan was good in his interview with Adam. I found it depressing. It was cliche-ridden - "got to step up, step forward" etc. etc - and he really offered very little explanation as to why it was so bad other than the usual "we were lax at the back and didn't do enough up front". Neither did I get the impression they were kicking lumps out of each other in the dressing room (figuratively, not literally).

But, this is the second occasion when, on the back of a dire performance, a player has been sent out to do the post-match.
Don't let the old man in.

We Will never come back we have no structure, we haven't done enough off the pitch to ensure we would be able to get back.

We are not in a relegation fight this team has no fight. That performance was shocking if nothing changes nothing changes.
On your point of structure and probably a topic for another day, Darren Herbert had some mascots on the tannoy pre match and asked who they played for..... Askam and Morecambe came the response. Pretty telling about our lack of any structure underneath the first team.

The board will be concerned themselves but he’s their man, they brought him in with Wood’s recommendation and they think very highly and trust Wood. Can we really afford to make another change at the top or does the board trust Clemence with the window to do enough to maintain a mid table position and save a pay off. Thats the risk to balance.

The while post match BBCRC is dominated by Carlisle position. They have the money, they will buy themselves out of trouble and they can take the hit of replacing Williamson. I think we are in a far different position.

I found that utterly hard hitting about where we are. Local kids playing for Morecambe. It’s debate for another time but really stood out.

Paul Hornby and the rest of the directors should have gone into that dressing room and told them all straight but what do we get F**k all ,I'm totally fuming at the last few weeks as well as everyone else can we afford to sack Clemence yeah because relegation will absolutely destroy this club we'd end up like Hereford they're now stuck in conference North and I don't think I'm being over melodramatic!
It's totally depressing and we all need some hope!

Give it to Jason Taylor, someone fans can actually get behind. Too far gone for Clemence now

Jonty we could have the best player's in league 2 BUT do you hand on heart believe Clemence would choose the right team/ Tactics because I for one don't!

This is a fair point. To be a sustainable football club we can't afford to be paying off managers and assistants who are on multi year contracts every season. A dire performance without a doubt but we have enough to stay up (I think).
Recruitment is key, we all knew these 4 strikers weren't going to get the goals required to keep us in the play off mix unfortunately all were signed on decent contracts with a year or two to go hence why no other club will take them off our hands. Wood, Clemence and the board need to get it right ASAP in terms of players and contract lengths.

Exactly this.

The players showed they were good enough to be competitive in this league at the start of the season (and in over the last 2 seasons for the several of them that we here then). The longer Clemence has been in charge, the worse they have played.

There is no reason to believe Clemence can turn this around, and every reason to believe that if he stays then we'll be back in the National League next season.

He has to go. Tonight preferably.

Thought it was very honest stuff from Canavan personally; he stepped up to do the interview and admitted both that it was rubbish today and that we are in a bad situation; could have easily just said oh no we still believe in play offs etc etc

Gonna have to waste the Chelsea money getting rid of Clemence/bringing a new manager in/the new players that manager will want. Genuine shame for the board that, no wonder we can’t develop as a club when we finally get a decent bonus amount of money and it’s just gonna get spunked away

It doesn't matter what I think. We had 13 goal attempts in the game but only three shots on goal, missed a penalty and a soft header right at the keeper. Harrogate had three shots on goal and scored two.

Give it Taylor is the latest shout. Isn't he in charge of set pieces that are the same routine time and time again and that we never seem to get on the end of?

The players we had out there today are trying their best but they just don't have the quality needed.
