#1. Barrow AFC Ltd (Employer) doesn't pay the players (Employee) the fans (Customer) do at the gate.

#2. If the Employee non-performs or produces shoddy work the Customer has the right to refuse to pay the Employer.
You are trying to align employer / customer relationships into it with your decision. You can’t really compare the emotional investment and ties with your club through the thick and thin in the same way. In it together.

Locals playing for other clubs is nothing new. Unfortunately as much as we all might want them to be involved is some local set-up the club simply doesn’t have the money.
Which opens the debate- do we need additional investors to get on board, to help us get to the next step of the club’s development.
I would say without doubt. The owners have put their money up year after year and they can’t be expected to fund yet another arm of running the club without some help.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Just seen Canavans interview on twitter looked despondent but it's obvious Clemence can't be getting through to the player's how serious this all is !

I am sorry the board made him the manager and made Ian wood a director with not reel aks the fans and the trust so they can live by their decisions now it is about time people start asking them out? They’ve had a free ride for a lot off the time when they do not pay people that have done work at the club over the last few years and fans that put lots off time in for free but everybody keeps going on about what how good they are so off lots off fans over the 40 years
Noto Brexit 🤪🤪

Organised, motivated and from 1-11 busting a gut to get on the ball, pass the ball and win it back when the opposition have it. It's a simple game. Stop starting Gotts and Newby, far too lightweight together, put Acquah on the transfer list with Telford, Garner, Mahoney and anyone else who doesn't want to be here. Good to see Canavan back about the only chink of light on a dark day at Holker Street.
Robbie Gotts “lightweight” you must have him mixed up with Mahoney! Gott’s and Foley have put in excellent performances to cover the loss of Campbell and Spence. Foley should have started today in whatever formation that could accommodate him!

Horrible to see folk lose their livelihood but SC position is untenable. For me he’ll be going tomorrow as per the boards MO.
There’s no way on this planet SC can continue he’s lost the fans and dressing room.
There is zero inspiration and zero connection. Like others have mentioned I can stand being beaten but not in the manner we have in this horrendous run. I honestly wish SC would make me eat my words but it ain’t happening anytime soon.

I would like to congratulate Harrogate Town on their performance today you outshone us in every department and thoroughly deserved your victory.

Sorry to our boys but the majority of you need a flipping rocket up your backsides, don’t forget you are representing Barrow AFC you are playing for us in that coveted shirt you should be made to watch that game back and see what we witnessed because that performance was shameful.

Feel for the board but indecision with SC could if not already cost us dear.

I'm far from convinced by Clemence but no manager would succeed with our current players. We have too many who are just not good enough. As a few others have also said, we don't have a single attacking player who is good enough.
IMO, most of our attacking players would struggle in the half National League.
Amazingly, Harrogate are around 6-4 to be relegated while we are 100/1 with Betfred and we are only 3 points ahead of them!
I'm not saying we will be relegated because Carlisle and Morecambe may just be bad enough to save us but our odds are ridiculously long.

Who chose these players to sign, some of them no doubt on long contracts?

Clemence, Wild, or Wood?

No doubt before they were signed the board would be told that they could eventually be sold on for a substantial profit.

It’s fairly easy really: can anyone see the current management/players going away from home and getting an unexpected win like Accrington did yesterday?
I absolutely can’t

Too many players who sh!t out of tackles

Hoof ball to Aquah who doesn’t jump more than 2cm off the floor

Absolute chalk and cheese to that 2nd half against Bradford

Summed up perfectly from a shout from the popular side “weak as p!ss”
You summed up exactly what I saw.
Watched Aqua all season and your right he very very rarely gets off the ground to head a ball. In the air a centre backs dream to mark.

It is obvious from Nial Canavans comments that there is disharmony in the changing room and this is affecting performances . This probably was evident in the back end of last season as well.
He rightly says the team cannot succeed when they are not together as a team.
Therefore if successive .managers have not been able to stop the infighting then wholesale changes in the team are required in this window. We simply can't afford that.
So that leaves the manager. Is he up to the task of galvanising the team. ?
If the board think the answer is no. He has to go.
If nothing changes we will be relegated and thier investment will have been for nothing.

I've said before on here I took 33-1 on relegation the first year back as it looked overpriced, and I could have a nice holiday to take my mind off it a bit if the worst happened. It got as low as 8-1 before some surprise results including Forest Green thankfully turned it round.

I think someone said on here earlier that we are 100-1 to be relegated, so you may want to have a punt on that. ;)
