Barton Rovers currently Non-league level 4. Moving to Eastbourne takes him to Level 2 (NL South)

15 goals 8 assists in 29 gmes this season obviously at a much lower level. Seems a very strange arrangement but who knows. Explanation will obviously be forthcoming.

What’s strange about it. The club think they’ve found a gem in the lower leagues and think the best way to develop him is to loan him for half a season a couple of leagues lower than ourselves. On a 18 month contract with an option of an another year. Could spend all next season on loan in the national league who knows

Well it does demonstrate that someone is doing some planning - which can only be positive

That’s definitely it isn’t it? Obviously not one for “now” but shows a bit of forward planning. Good to see we’re still looking at these things.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Club already got several players Contracted for next Season if that happens, Stanway, Acquah, Mahoney, Canavan, Kouyate, Flecther, Jackson, and possible Feeley, Kirk & Barnes on next Season options, and now Shamalo, all should be decent for the National League.
