Another loss to a side below us. Morecambe, Accrington, Harrogate , Carlisle : 2 wins in 18 . 13 points in the last 18 games . Less than a goal a game . No settled team or formation. This is not working.

A season defining 4 out of the next 5 games at home coming up now.

I thought the Christmas period would be season defining, but it was poor apart from a ray of hope against Bradford. Then I thought the Harrogate game might be the time to turn things round - another major disappointment. I can't feel very confident about another season defining period I am afraid.

I really expected a better performance today after a few promising signings. I wouldn't mind if they had battled and just fallen short, but it never sounded as though there was any chance of us getting back into the game.

I think the Board will feel they have to stick with the manager to give him a chance to show how his new signings will perform, but the fear is that if it is left for 2 or 3 more games it may be too late.

It has to be down to Clemence, Most of our player's are talented BUT they're not being managed by enthusiasm or any decent tactics.

Even though we played 4 new signings who all put a shift in, especially Pressley and Duru, the result was the same with the same issues. We are not creating space and stretching the opposition, our passing is poor, we aren’t finessing in the final 25%, and no real commitment in challenges.
All of that points to the tactics and style of play which needs to change …. Which, for me, is the responsibility of the coaching staff.

22nd place is the absolute best we can hope for now. 2 wins from 18 is deplorable. Thank God for that good start otherwise we’d be below our 2 ‘friends’ as well.

If the board think like that then we're doomed we could sign Messi and we still wouldn't win it's totally obvious that he can't motivate or man manage the fans need hope if he's still here next week the atmosphere at Holker Street will be toxic!
