The annoying thing about all this ,is that people are still believing in Clemence ffs it's obvious to everyone now ,that the board have 2 options come out and back him but to not even to make a statement isn't good enough!
Foley ( who I love to bits) is on twitter asking the fans to back the team, he looks totally drained this current situation is untenable for the fans, players and staff GET off the fence board stop crossing your fingers and either back him or Sack him!

Just watched the SC post match interview - no passion, no accountability, no excuses …. Nothing.

Because he's broken! decent guy but just not cut out for this feel for him because he appears to have genuine passion for our club !

Not sure if Farman could have done better but the lad should be closed down and not given a chance. Second- we are so high up the pitch leaving no cover at all. I know we are looking to get back into the game but by committing so many forward we got what we deserved. Same the other week v Harrogate, Neo Eccleston was the last defender with 50 yards of pitch to cover.

There's been very few good goals been scored against us this season! We seem to switch off at certain times, the players lack any sort of game plan and we seem to start well and then we concede and everything goes out of the window! We lack someone in midfield to control and push us forward!

Same old story, did okay in spells but never laid a glove on Swindon really. Never looked like scoring again and barely strung 3/4 passes together.

First goal a shot from nowhere I’d have to see again if Farman was unsighted but he never moved. Second goal a comedy of errors, Newby gave it away again and for the third time in his 20minute cameo and then a through ball which the big lumbering Smith had no right to get to but he seemed to want it more. Maybe he was offside but the defensive line again was poor again as against Harrogate for their second.

That aside and a few half chances for Swindon there wasn’t much in it. Two poor teams but one that have a manager who has them organised, working hard and solid, and then us. Constantly changing shape and formation and looking like a team of strangers. Foley had a rare poor game by his standards wayward passing, Spence battled well but was on his own. Pressley didn’t impress me on the couple of occasions he got into good areas he ended up going away from goal. Acquah was as useful as he is on a bad day…not very. Bright side Tyler smith looked lively when he came on. Newby’s contribution was to underhit a simple overlap pass to Jackson, lose the ball when one on one and in position to cross, and then give it away for the second goal. Mahoney showed glimpses of his ability but it’s not enough.

We lack quality but we lack any sort of gameplan or ideas. We’ve tried everything from short passing to long ball, today it didn’t work and no one was picking up any second balls with the three upfront challenging and leaving a huge gap between them and a ragged midfield. We look like a team of strangers and have just had 2 weeks to work on things. Harrogate was bad, this was worse. Not sure there is anyway back now for Clemence. Can we afford to sack him or can we afford to risk going down is the question….

At no point in the game did I think we were going to score.

Early on in the second half Ben Jackson slung over a peach of a cross but no striker was anywhere near it, presumably because they were busy trying to work out which vertex of this week’s diamond formation they should be stood at.

And that was it. People are talking about a tough run of games coming up but I genuinely cannot see which team in this league we could beat at present.

Further punishment comes from the fact that I am staying over in Swindon - the Premier Inn is my heartbreak hotel, to steal from another thread.

I don't go to away games but I don't know any keeper in the world who spins 360 degrees before taking a kick from his hands. He's eccentric in a way that otherwise departed when Bruce Grobelaar hung up his boots. I'd give Stanway more games.

I made the point several weeks ago that football at our level is becoming too complicated. I suspect that the players can never settle into a pattern of play. Changes of formation plus changes in personnel must be very dofficult to adapt to. I will give Wild some credit beacuse he used to change shape during a game when things were not going well and it seemed to work, but most of the time he knew what his preferred 11 was and he had a fairly settled team.

In Clemence's defence, the players who were here last season showed the ability for a complete collapse too, so perhaps there is a weakness in the mentality of the team that isn't down to him.

League Two isn’t hard; yes you need to find them elusive goalscorers but most teams that go up are in the Wrexham/Mansfield mould; big physical sides with some pace on the wings

Your Excellency, the photographic evidence clearly shows Jackson's right foot is closer to the goal than Smiths right foot.

The linesman got it right, whilst Archbishops are sometimes wrong....
