There's only really one man for the job.
Let's get Ian Evatt back so he can finish what he started.
Bolton fans would pay his taxi fare despite having a high win percentage and wanderers may well let him go to avoid paying up his contract if they sack him.
From Evatts point of view he would avoid having a sacking on his record and if he gets us back in play off contention his reputation would rise again.
The BOD love him and the fans can forgive the odd transgression he may have had.
Definitely worth a phone call .

Hope Ian Wood doesn’t hold sway over the board this time, his last choice wasn’t much cop.
Woods should have gone too.
He blagged a higher position with no doubt a rise.
We are Barrow AFC not Barcelona it's a none position
and that money could be used to fund a scout.

Dont forget Evatt was using us as a stepping stone at the same time as touting himself to other clubs.

Why would he want to come back.

Also returning Managers rarely do well at former clubs.

That might be a good idea and he could bring Linney with him

Got to say I haven't got a clue tbh but maybe go in for someone already doing well with a team in the NL (might cost to get them)
Always find it strange when managers are unemployed all season if they are that good !
Couldn't see Evatt coming back, too many things would need to happen first. Taylor is a no from me, zero experience in EFL 2 management and too much a risk. We need to steady the ship, get enough points on the board to be safe then go from there. Anyone thinking the bottom few clubs won't pick up any points are deluded esp when we still have to play them again !

Andy Whing is the right choice but will we pay the money to get him is the question.

Don’t see why we need a manager, there seems to be a lot of people on here that are experts.
Should just listen to the forum every week and play whatever formation/style that the baying mob shout about

It doesn’t feel like a time to be taking a punt, either on someone within the club who might ‘step up’ or even with a ‘hungry young manager’ in the Evatt/Wild mould. Someone proven at L2 level with a good few years under their belt seems more of a sensible way forward, at least ‘til the summer. A secure mid-table finish’ll do us now.

Could just be media speculation of course but he’s favourite for the Wycombe job so we’d need to be making a move quickly if we are after him

Surprised to be honest Clemence was allowed to bring players in before the Swindon game, with the owners maybe knowing he had that game to save his ass
Do you really think it was Clemence who brought them in?

I suspect it was Wood, and until the board realise what a liability he is I can’t see much of an improvement.

I hope I’m wrong.

Going to be hard getting a decent manager half way through a season only ones available will be like ours those that have been sacked.

Hurst was interviewed for the job when we appointed Michael Jolly. Subsequently was appointed Grimsby manager a few weeks later.
He wouldn’t be a bad appointment imo
