In Clemence's defence, the players who were here last season showed the ability for a complete collapse too, so perhaps there is a weakness in the mentality of the team that isn't down to him.
And it’s not all down to Clemence there is a continuing theme from last season in the goals or lack of, and a lack of toughness and grit. Recruitment was poor.
and really had it not been for Whitfield and Stockton last season we’d have been even worse off than 8th position. Those deficiencies are still there now plus more.
