We still have some more than decent players in and amongst the clearly not so good and have to back them all to get us over the line. Constantly berating them definitely isn’t going to work. Everyone has a job to do management/players and supporters alike until we are safely over the line. Then do what you wish once our league status is guaranteed because it isn’t yet by any shape or form.

I agree entirely. We do have some good players in the squad and some good players ie Campbell and Vasell not fit to play at the moment. Personally IMO we were the better team in the first half and the Carlisle goal was totally against the run of play. To give credit to Carlisle it was a well worked goal.
We created numerous openings and chances in the first half but failed to take them and didn't make the keeper work hard enough. In the second half we did make the keeper work more but couldn't find the back of the net. Come the last 20 minutes panic seat in and the composure was not there.
This squad of players has some talent and some good footballers. A few that have struggled that wont be here next season the squad is what he have from now until the end of the season. Andy Whing has got to work with what he has got. Yes last nights result stings but performance wise for me it was miles better than Crewe when we showed very little intensity and were very passive in our play. The lads and the management team need supporting not berating.

In Whing's first match in charge against Grimsby, a team challengingfor the play off, he had Aaron Pressley and Tyler Smith playing up front together.
They looked a useful partnership and we scored 3 goals, one of which scored by Smith before being substituted.
We have never started a game with that pairing since.
That baffles me why not.

Foley only one to come out of last night with any credit. Canavan was an embarrassment he is meant to be captain is the quietest one on the park , zero leadership.

Really would not be bothered about losing anyone from this squad at the end of the year.

That’s very true and I know injuries haven’t helped, but Whing is in danger of going wrong where Clemence did in constantly changing shape and personnel.

Pressley can’t finish but offers more threat and can at least hold and head the ball more than Acquah who’s contribution these days is less and less.

Agree one hundred percent. Very difficult to understand Whing's thinking.

I can’t be bothered looking up the scores & points return (or not) but a quick glance at the table and from 15th down I’m struggling to see or remember many points gained by us from Morecambe, Carlisle, Accrington, Tranmere, Gillingham, Harrogate….the list goes on. That return (whatever it is) is truly shocking, the three bottom teams and think the only point we’ve gained is one off Tranmere. It’s not only this season, it seems to happen season after season.
Carlisles stats for two seasons have been nothing short of a horror show yet they come here and once again do a job on us. Thankfully whoever else they play will be better than us, so again we’re relying on others to do our dirty work.

No matter what people thought of Clemence, if we stop up this season it’s down to what he did for us pre Chelsea.

It's not the 12 out of Contract players leaving, it's some still on Contract for next Season Canavan, Kouyate, Acquah, Mahoney & Jackson if we have to rely on them another Season of struggling is guaranteed, a big task in the summer whoever is in charge.

Toothless yet again.
It's not just that we got beat but it's the fact we got beat by a team below us.
We have given. Carlisle the impetus and the irony is this defeat could see them go on and overtake us.n
The team looks like the team who saw us voted out of the league.
Can anyone see us picking another point up.

Aquah runs round like Richard the 3 rd looking for his horse at Bosworth field.

Presley is a centre forward who does not score goals.
We have players who can get the ball in the area but he wants to lay balls off rather than scoring..

The recruitment has been terrible.
We have a club with people with titles who are basically stealing a living.be it Director of Football to set piece coach.
Watching the team they are devoid of ideas.
I want Whing to succeed but he is looking out of his depth.

The goal scoring chances we missed last night!
And throughout this season!

Football is a simple game. The basic principle being to put the ball in the back of the net.
But Barrow haven't got anybody who can do so on a regular basis. And I don't just mean the current campaign.

Since Quiqley departed we've had a bunch of Cast-Offs, Incompetents and some who'd be lucky to get in the Holker Old Boys side.
Strikers??? Ya havin' a laff!

if Barrow DON'T sign a decent striker for next season The National League is a certainty.

Also good to see old forum favourite ‘ Azzer ‘ back at Holker St last night with a few friends. He oftens keep up to date about the club and deep down loves it. First game back in nearly 10 years , no doubt it’ll be another 10 after that performance

Just watched the extended highlights, three good goal scoring opportunities squandered and a decent shout for a pen at the end. Another day we win that comfortably ….Grasping for some positivity I know.

Another couple of bright spots like that and we're in the league next season, but my point was really how long ago it now seems.

That’s how the games was. The last 20 mins aside we didn’t play badly we just failed to put our chances away. At least we created chances. Carlisle had one and put it away. The penalty shout was a good shout for a pen. Pity not many of the doom and gloom merchants have mentioned that. Like you say put our chances away we win comfortably
