Not sure popular side was really empty stand just about 3 quarters full ,holker end only about half of what is usually there, honestly very disappointed in the attendance.

A couple of of factors will have contributed to the low attendance. Seasons over nothing to play for, Its Easter school holidays and with the weather being as good as its been many will have had a family day out somewhere other than Holker street. .

Still a massive drop off in usual home attendance. Around 600 down is huge; as we all know only thing guaranteed to increase crowds is a winning side (which to be fair we are at the moment) up towards the higher end of the table. We get lower crowds being blamed on the wind and rain and now the relatively nice weather, that one yesterday has to be a concern for the board surely

They never laid a glove on us, says more about Barrow than them to be honest. They were bossed from minute one to minute 90 all over the pitch. Really hope we can keep Pressley as he is getting better and better. He gave their centre backs a torrid time all game and now adding goals to his game looks the real deal. No foot off the gas from Barrow and is a joy to watch.

He's bothered about the club's finances without which you wouldn't have decent player's/ Manager and a smaller pool of money for next season!

Pressley was excellent yesterday and might have had a hat-trick in the first half.

Can I just say though that Acquah's goal – having looked at it again on the highlights – is actually quite brilliant! Leaving aside the build-up, which was also very good, it's the finish that I rave about here. Yes, I am aware it looks quite simple but in fact it's a hugely intelligent finish from the big fella. It's the way he opens his right side up to just place it in the bottom corner beyond the reach of their keeper. Many a striker might have gone for power or might have found the keeper but there was a big footballing brain there for a moment to just guide it serenely into the corner. Possibly the most intelligent finish I've seen from a Barrow player this season. It looked easy but that's because he played it so cleverly.

Correct, the lack of fans is a major concern, how do we expect good players to come and play for a club that can't move forward because of the lack of income because football fans in this area can't be bothered to turn up! I've said before that within about 12mls there must be a population of around 100,000 and a team that's been playing well can only attract 2500 , sorry but that's a disgrace, look at carlisle crowds , the population isn't that much bigger and there next to bottom of the league,

Well I’ve introduced 3 new supporters this season,who all now attend every home game, what’s he done, what have you done,what’s Nige done, F all that’s what. So if you don’t make any effort then don’t moan about it.

The club is still trying to develop its infrastructure, for me we need more sides than just the first team, we need an academy we need kids teams we need a women’s team.
This would provide more interest than rocking up to HS to cheer on our Manchester based team.
There’s got to be more local involvement, get the kids teams going and they will bring their parents, get into the schools, have more visibility round town and outlying districts.
It’s the holidays where’s the football schools or tournaments, Jonty has mentioned many times on here about the need for such things.
The owners have done brilliantly thus far theres no doubting that we have come a long long way but I guess we are where we are until we get much needed investment to enable such things.
Maybe Whingy, Woody and the board will have their own ideas/plans for next season as we continue to grow the club.

It was an excellent finish. Aquah once again coming off the bench and showing what he can do. If only he could find some consistency when he starts a game.

People make decisions based on their priorities not how well we are playing. Our supporters have had two halves of two seasons where our performances have been pretty miserable. Since Xmas 2023 our stats have been poor as have many of our performances. Even this season we’ve peaked too early and then too late.

This does not create a great advertisement for pulling in crowds or building support though old lags like me are happy to revel in the current form. There are many things the club is doing to make the club an attractive proposition but security and consistency on the pitch is a pretty basic pre-requisite.

Think carlisle fans have had alot more to put up with than ours, look at there fan base home and away.
