A very entertaining final home game. A draw was probably a fair result.

The entertainment in that one made up for the lack of it on Monday.
Popular side since '03.

Well played Barrow. I’m tuned in to BBCRC post match and the obviously the Carlisle relegation is going to dominate. The turning point in the season for both teams was the timing of decisions to change Manager. Carlisle held on and held on, had a terrible window in Jan and left it all too late. We acted, a brave decision, but based on results the right decision. I don't know why Carlisle left it so long. They will have an inquest.

The only take for me with this is that no matter how much you throw into the squad if you get recruitment and management decisions wrong this is what happens.

As for us. I am delighted for Whing and the team and he's done well stepping into the role at a tricky time for us. 14th to 16th placing depending on last game results.

One to go then a big summer ahead for us. We absolutely must get recruitment right.

Stress free and near enough mid table, would have snapped your hand off for that after the penultimate Clemence game at Swindon. Convinced that would have been us going down.

Another draw but plenty of goals this time as an increasingly open match against Bromley resulted in a 3-3 scoreline. Barrow drop two places to 16th on 58 points.

Mahoney shot wide in the 7th minute for our first chance on goal.

In the 19th minute, Bromley’s Imray was booked for kicking the ball away after an offside.

Two minutes later a ball into the area by Fletcher gave Jackson a shot on goal which was pawed away by Smith. Whitfield’s excellent corner delivery across goal was headed wide by Pressley.

A good run three minutes later by Whitfield resulted in a Gotts shot which went wide.

Just after the half hour, a Jackson cross and Gotts shot were blocked in quick succession as we knocked on the door for the lead.

Another excellent run by Whitfield in the 40th minute put Mahoney through on goal. He was tripped by Charles, who was booked, and Whitfield made no mistake with the penalty.

The second half would be more eventful. A double substitution at half time by the visitors saw Kabamba and Congreve come on for Odutayo and Arthurs.

Within seconds, Pressley was booked for an elbow on Webster. Congreve especially breathed fresh life into Bromley and his shot two minutes in was blocked for a corner.

In the 50th minutes, our defence went awol as a Congreve free kick went straight through to Cheek in the area who fired past Stanway for 1-1.

Three minutes later we were in front again when Fletcher fired home from the edge of the area following a cross from Whitfield.

Bromley made two more changes in the 65th minute as Paul-Lavely and Ifill came on for Imray and Charles.

Seconds later, an MJ Williams shot from range went just right of the right post, but Bromley were now in the ascendancy with the fresh legs. Stanway did well to save a close-range Kabamba shot following a ball through from Elerewe. MJ Williams was then booked for a foul on Whitely.

In the 73rd minute we made changes as Acquah and Newby came on for Pressley and Whitfield.

Unfortunately, within two minutes Bromley had levelled again with two of their substitutes teaming up as we spurned chances to clear our area. Paul-Lavely fed the ball through to Kabamba who bundled in from close range.

The game was now becoming increasingly like a cup tie with end-to-end football, Acquah shooting wide on the left post from a Fletcher cross in the 78th minute.

We then replaced Fletcher and Mahoney with Kouyate and Smith. In the 81st minute, a Smith shot was deflected out for a corner. Jackson’s corner was then headed against the left post by Foley.

In the 82nd and 84th minutes, Congreve shots were cleared at the expense of corners. However, the second corner resulted in a fast break by Barrow, an excellent run and shot by Newby giving us a 3-2 lead.
Vassell then replaced Williams with two minutes of normal- and five of added- to play.

Once again, we could not hold onto the lead as Bromley levelled for the third time, in the first minute of time added. A Foley shot had been blocked as we went to double our lead but we were again caught short at the back, Whitely crossing accurately to Sowunmi at the left post who headed home for 3-3 from very close range.

Another booking apiece followed- Elerwe and Vassell- and there were a couple more half-chances as both sides went for the winner, but 3-3 was the final score. An entertaining game with the draw a fair result.

The attendance was 3,137 including 78 visiting fans. Barrow’s man of the match was Fletcher.

The fans stayed for a lap of appreciation at the end by the players as our recent unbeaten run ensured we stayed well away from misfortunes suffered by Morecambe and Carlisle.

Good game to watch I thought today. Some good attacking stuff and good to see young Fletcher get his first goal. Thought Farms would have been brought on for a few mins to say goodbye unless there is a chance he might be staying.

Total Home Attendance 77,766 Average 3,381 Last Season 87,492 Average 3,804
Total Home Fans Attendance 69,892 Average 3,038
Total Away Fans Attendance 7,874 Average 342
So quite a drop from last Season, but last Season we had Wrexham, Stockport, & Mansfield, plus we were in the play-offs nearly all Season, but this Season a good start then a poor run of results but thankfully we stayed up, the new Sky Deal also not good for us, we are also losing Carlisle and Morecambe and a few more northern sides, we really do need more home fans next Season.

That goes without saying. I’d love to see us shift 3000 ST’s and really offer an attractive price and really promote it. In the past we've had an initial promotion on social media then it just drops off. The lower prices would offset the income by having bigger crowds. Would love to see us aim to offer the best value ST’s in the league, or at least the best offer ever from Barrow.

Last seasons early bird prices represented excellent value for money. I paid £340 for a seat in the stand that's about £14.75 a game.

I think we should bring a bit of our spirit today in to next season.. we were getting the ball forward more often instead of the frustrating turn back inside and play the safe pass .. Obviously with no pressure on it's easy to play this way. But I think today will have pleased Whing , in some respects more than a 'bad' 1-0 win.. I think he can build on how we played today into a system for next season. Will get the crowds back too

Not disputing that, but it would be great to have 500 more a game. At this stage of our EFL progress we need more fans to build up those core fan numbers. 100@£340 = 125@£272,

Just a thought. If the club look at the drop off in home fans then it’s a flag so they have to try and do something and the obvious one is the ticketing prices, but as a balanced risk so as its at least cost neutral. More fans = more chance of attracting other investment streams from outside. More fans = more match day spend, better atmosphere, etc.

Decent enough game; if any team deserved to win it, it was certainly us
