But do you still have to be in the BBC RC transmission area or is DAB+ wider than that?

Not tried tbh but would guess so, only use it in the office locally.

Personally I think it’s rather sad,that individuals come on here,celebrating the events at Carlisle,an achievement for my team,Barrow,is finishing above them ,not seeing them relegated.I still have fond memories watching them play Chelsea,late 70s I think,we were in the town having played against a skool from there.and we were treated to the big match afterwards. Great club, fantastic support,and I’m sure they will return soon.
As for JP, guess he’s marmite to some,personally I like his passion and enthusiasm.

Well if you want to go back that far in time, I dont remember them offering any help/support to us when we nearly went out of existence in 1999!

Love them or hate them,Carlisle do bring a lot of supporters.It would be just our luck to draw them in the FA Cup.I hope we can be more magnanimous with them than they have been with us in the past.Hopefully it will teach their supporters and a certain Radio Cumbria reporter to be al lttle bit more humble than they have been.We could always put a message on their forum that if they want to watch EFL football next season they will be very welcome at Holker St.

In all fairness we were fighting for our own survival in 1999, with a chairman who had completely lost the plot going so far as to sell our only goalkeeper for a measly 5k on transfer deadline day. Had it not been for Jimmy Glass, we'd have been a conference side then too - only back then, we'd have most likely ended up going out of business.

Unlike Desmond, I'm not convinced that we'll be returning soon. Though there have been some signs that the free fall is slowing, the club has been knocked for six by Saturday's confirmation.

At least we'll get some new grounds in next season.

We tend to forget that prior to the Piateks turning up, Carlisle had for many years been in a financial mess, in fact in a worse financial state than we were. This was evident as recently as when we signed Zanzala and Farman, neither of whom Carlisle really wanted to get rid of at the time.

It’s that shocking. Even with all those financial issues Carlisle were able to put together a side each season that could just about punch their weight. Yet now with all that financial clout they cannot. Football eh?

Isn’t the point about football that you enjoy/suffer the high and lows of your club, but you always enjoy the lows of your rivals - a bit of sadism rolled in with the masochism?

Let’s enjoy their plight - it makes a change from it being us! Having said that, give me Carlisle in our league every time rather than Crawley or FGR.
