A horrible statement which amongst a million questions includes: who is this person Cato? What does currently building a consortium mean? How will NL approval be obtained and by when ?(they’ve refused this before); and what about the £3.8 million supposedly already sunk into the club by Panjab Warriors (who were NL approved?).

All I can suggest is that you keep up to date with the Shrimp Voices forum. There is not a single person there that believes a word of what the man writes.

I understand some of the deadlines “suggested” in this statement have already been missed. Prawns thread on General Football is following the mess.

Yes you are correct they were one company involved and the more public one - the one I mentioned was I think an Irish registered company which owned or had links to cherry tree (and ‘financed’ it) - there was a lot of stuff that never came out as it didn’t make any difference to the end result but due to being involved with the liquidator I was aware of .

That was in connection with us playing Chester in the fa cup and as the ownership issue wasn’t resolved at that time Vaughan was ‘technically’ still owner of the club and therefore u see fa rules they couldn’t play each other

I believe he transferred ownership of his shares to someone for a day or 2 to avoid this (as I don’t think he would have been able to transfer anything to do with barrow formally as it was under the control of the liquidator ) - although I may be wrong as it was some time ago. It did seem to satisfy the FA (although I think they were so embarrassed at allowing the situation to occur in the first place that they simply fudged the real issue )

Was that not down to ownership of the ground?
