It's a slippery slope that I hope we don't go down. The latest terminology ive heard regarding event tickets is "fulfilment fees" being charged for digital or print at home tickets. Its just another way to squeeze more money from the customer IMO.
If we don't move forward with technology etc we'll fail behind whether you like it or not football is a business people seem to want everything for nothing, our club is looking to become sustainable and to keep costs to a minimum our ticket pricing is very reasonable but people still winge, we either back the club or we'll slip back to non league, does anyone really want that ?
Fully understand the sentiment but I don't think if we got relegated last season anyone would be blaming the fact our season tickets weren't solely online. Hopefully plenty get bought that's the most important thing

Everyone should have a choice not be dictated to.
That doesn't mean the choice has to be free. If someone wants a service that costs more to provide then...
Don't let the old man in.

I should have frased that better, people constantly challenge any kind of change whether it's selection of clothing, shirts, the outcry when we went cashless, to become sustainable we have to accept that we're a small club and every penny counts if a certain individual left we'd be f*****d so we all have to be realistic!

If I'm spending the best part of £800 on season tickets, I want a season ticket in my hand not just a QR code on my phone. Choice for both options should always be available which seems to be the case.

The choice is apparently available for season ticket holders at Barrow without cost at present but if you want 'extras', irrespective of the base price, whether at an airline, ice cream parlour or exhibition, then it is at an extra cost to the supplier and has to be paid for, either by spreading that cost or requiring the person choosing the extra to pay a supplement.

(And waffle cones just aren't worth the extra cost.)

When did a physical season ticket become an extra? Absolutely standard in my eyes. Only becoming an 'extra' because it's cheaper not to produce one.

Each to their own, personally use an apple wallet for my season ticket, much easier scanning my phone rather than carrying more plastic around.

And that was my point!, hope you don't want to attend any large concerts, whether people like it or not someone has to pay for these !

So how are the club supposed to know who wants a physical card or who doesn't? I personally want one because there is always a chance you can get trouble with your phone and may not be able to access it. So how do I request this, do I have to go up to the club shop and express this or can I request one via the app?

It is in my eyes too. Sadly it will eventually be a thing of the past. The days of collecting and keeping tickets be it season tickets or event tickets of attended events will become no more.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the email.
Yes, this is partially true.
As we print them out every season we’ve found more and more people not collecting them and now we have an official fan app for your phone where you can store your Season Ticket.
So we are going to print the cards for those that what one then still what the physical card.

I wasn't given the option of a physical ticket when I ordered mine, just stated it was an E ticket once i purchased.
How do I go about requesting one ??

That's not really answered my question. So if I go in the club shop this week will they physically print the ticket card while I'm there?
