I’m with you. He looks like a number 9 from what I’ve seen. Built like one and plays like one. Think he’ll be decent for L2 as well.

I’m with you. He looks like a number 9 from what I’ve seen. Built like one and plays like one. Think he’ll be decent for L2 as well.

I think you have your understanding of 9 and 10 out of kilter…Innes Cameron is definitely a 9, the 9 doesn’t have to be pacey, it’s about putting the onion in the bag, a target man, focal point, up top leading the line type of striker, a la Cowps. Your 10 is a slightly deeper lying creative player behind the front man, supporting and playing the slide rule passes between the defenders for the 9, a al Kenny Lowe, or Wayne Rooney, if you want a recent comparison (admittedly Rooney was a major bagsman, but playing in the hole, the luxury position, he was a creator). You could argue that that is where Mahoney is best positioned, free movement be creative, no significant danger if decisions don’t come off. Tough choices for AW.
