Just heard PNE are 'resting their goalie' for the match. He'll be sitting in the dug-out apparently - "no need to play him after watching the MK game" - Manager.

Re: League Cup game - PNE
Lets give it a go tonight.
3-4-3
Winterbottom
Raglan, Canavan, Shipley
Jackson, Harper, Earing, Newby
Barkhuizen, Cameron, Walker
Opportunity to give Ben a game, no reflection on Wyl.
Same with Shipley, who is naturally left footed, so Raglan can move to the right where he is more comfortable. Give Sam a rest.
Unfortunately we don't have any other options at wing back. Earing deserves a start with Rakeem.
Play Barkhuizen in his natural position of right wing and give Innes some support with Walker playing off him.
Give North End something to think about in their half of the pitch for a change.
COYB.

Don’t forget it’s a 19:30 kick off tonight.

Be a bit of a mix of a side for us considering the temperature at QPR on Saturday

An attractive fixture is this one. With luck and a decent evening, there will be a last-minute rush for stand and ground tickets. Easy for me to sit here and write it, though I thought the club would have made more of the cheap ticket opportunity in order to generate sales. School holidays too, an early night for nippers is not necessarily a consideration.

Crazy optimist that I am, I have a feeling that we will see a better performance tonight and a couple of goals (at the right end).

Barrow fans favourite (not) referee takes charge tonight Ross Joyce. Yes the very man who denied us a stonewall penalty at Barnsley in the FA Cup a couple of seasons back.

He was his usual standard.
Best not mention the liners though.
