I think we play Fleetwood next and it will be Pete Wild's first return to Holker St.I just hope people will give him a warm welcome but also send his team back on the wrong side of the result.

He had a good response from our following at Highbury last year so no reason why not. But then I didn't see why Matty Platt was booed last week.

His interview after today's game mentions small squad size and injuries, something we can empathise with.

Shipleys interview was really good.
Keep playing that way he will move on to a bigger club.
Stanway is. playing as good if not better than Farman.
The defence played like Trojans.
Newby though not a goal scorer puts the wind up defences.
Need that link to Tyler Walker who was isolated.
That one player will make all the difference.

Matty Platts form dipped massively half way through his last season with us, his head had been turned via the usual agent route as he had been tapped up by Bradford.

Agreed with what others have said about the Shipley interview. It jumps off the screen. He seems to OOZE enthusiasm and commitment. Of course box number one that always has to be ticked is that he plays football sufficiently well but, that aside, he's passing the attitude test with flying colours. Many a player would have shied away from a header that could have led to a painful collision but, as he suggested himself, he was always going for that ball. In that sense he reminds me of that lad Andy Burns who played for us a few years ago (think I've got that name right). I remember on a couple of occasions he went to head the ball away from danger when he was flat out on the deck, and head could have easily become detached from torso in doing so if a boot had come flying in at the same time. It seems that Shipley is cut from the same cloth.

Well let's see but there are a lot of goalkeepers who played outfield hart,pinto and rainha.
I believe Stanway played outfield.
Who is to say he is not our hidden centre forward.

Stanway did an excellent job yesterday so imo we are lucky to have two decent keepers!

I suppose all we want as fans of barrow is true grit and determination, yesterday that was what we all want.. backs to the wall but united at the same time and to take 3pts makes it even better.
There is a good bunch, once we start clicking I think we will do better than we think! It's keeping the injury list down that will be more of a challenge!
