Brain dead performance today.
Brain Clough would have turned in his grave! ‘If God had wanted us to play football in the sky he would have put grass up there!’
Yet we try and play it forward in the air all first half into the howling wind with the ball coming back towards over our heads causing all sorts of problems. Then 2nd half we’re lumping it forward with the wind to a lone striker of limited stature (who worked his socks off by the way).
Shrewsbury played high up the pitch in the 1st half with numbers pushing us back. We didn’t do that at all. Struggle to understand what the discussions before the game were and what the game plan was.

It was a very poor game with Shrewsbury the better side in shocking conditions IMO. Nice to see Harper get some minutes and that can only be good moving forward. He did show a few nice touches . Apart from that it was a game to quickly forget about.

Whing summed it up in his post match interview - really poor game, too many players' performances today nowhere near what they are capable of.

Drove up through storms with my mate from Shrewsbury and drove back through rainstorms. In between I drove round Barrow showing my mate the town of my parents birth of yes we also watched what could be loosely described as a football match which we both, correctly, predicted would probably end 0-0.

Highlight of the day for my mate was the bar prices. My highlight for me was Chelsea beating the scousers in the last minute (he's also a Liverpool fan) I smirked quietly when driving back down the motorway and probably that we didn't lose.

Booty has only played in 13 games (if you count this weeks Lancashire Cup game.
A few of those appearances have been as a substitute.
We have won 3 of those games.
Only game he never got on the pitch for was the win against Crewe.
So I don't know why your signalling him out?

Well that was a non event which Shrewsbury deserved to win cos played much better than us in horrendous conditions.Was quite pleased with half time drawing as was convinced we would play much better after the turn around unless wind eased off for both teams.How wrong I was we hadn’t a clue instead of firing at them running at them every opportunity very few highlights were seen and I can only assume they didn’t listen to half time manager talk cos we were crap today and didn’t exploit the conditions and Shrewsbury played better
Mastering the conditions better than us.We all knew game would be poor with that wind but was still a relief to get a point as we struggle against teams at bottom.
Home crowd attendance is stalling and away fans boosted it for us a good turn out from them I thought.We won’t entice people back until we up our game and give us something to cheer.Sort it out please manager,

He obviously has the ability to pick a pass but his positioning is awful, not sure what role he played in the midfield at Gateshead but he somehow never seems to know where he should be.
If MJ carries on “covering” in defence I would imagine Harper and Earring would be the midfield two going forward when Harper gets fully fit (and assuming Earring isn’t now injured for any length of time!)

I thought he did well defending first half

Perhaps the conditions were only ever going to be the real winner yesterday. 7 from 9 isn’t a bad return I’d have been happy with that after the Bristol match. There are signs of more fight and organisation and could easily have lost yesterday so a point isn’t all bad.

Booty played a clever pass for the first goal last week to Fletcher but overall has struggled especially with the pace and physical side. Scott Smith not sure where he was yesterday but he’s been a bigger disappointment for me. I’m hoping McCann can get fit soon and will offer more, along with Harper and maybe even Williams.

Good defensive performance in first half but the second half was hugely disappointing. Lumping it forward in the wind - brainless. And we didn’t get forward in any numbers. Surely we should have had a go but we looked clueless. Not happy with that at all. Booty miles off it again . A defensive midfielder who can’t defend .

On the game I’d say 0-0 was a fair result to both teams. We couldn’t handle the conditions in the first half and didn’t take advantage of them in the second half. Too many passengers in this side just here for the pay day. Whing seems to be saying the same thing every few weeks about them, what’s going to change?

Tyler Walker has to be the worse signing by some way in recent year? I thought maybe he was just unfit and lacking confidence but yesterday proved he’s just brain dead and sh*te

Watford loanee Michael Adu-Poku is also back and training with the squad. Couple of weeks and he should also be available.
