Enjoyed the Holker Street end giving the stewards the run about over a spare ball eventually used to stop an attack from Barnet . Well done

Perhaps those who enjoyed that will be clubbing together to pay any consequent fine for BAFC that might be forthcoming from the EFL?

Thought their manager's interview was decent, agreed we were the better side until the sending off and should've been further ahead. Then gave us credit for sticking at it in the second half and deserved the point in the end. We'd rightly be annoyed if we'd drawn from the position Barnet found themselves in.

No problem with people using a dodgy stick as long as they have bought a season ticket, if they want to stay in the warmth at home its up to them but at least support your team by putting your hand in your pocket at the start of the season or if you don't watching Barrow on your dodgy stick will not be a option. Plenty of fight today( and I do not mean the sending off) same as last week at Walsall never gave up like to see it in a club.

You're right there - a Barrow side throwing the kitchen sink at it against overwhelming odds. Not been too much of that in recent seasons as things tend to be rather more control!ed, technical and tactical. Could be even more blood and thunder next week as Spennymoor will no doubt 'have a go'. So it's back to the future once more as we head along the A66 in our DeLoreans.

I cannot disagree. Given the publicity the club gave the game with the digital advertising board and the posters promoting the game they are probably left scratching their heads thinking what more can they do.
The novelty of being back in the EFL has definitely worn off for some this season and the attendances numbers have to be a concern for the owners.

While yesterday's attendance of 2919 was our first below 3000, it was actually the 3rd highest attendance of Barrow fans this season.
Only the Fleetwood and the first home game against MK Dons surpasses it.
Barnet brought by far the fewest away fans this season.

For the red card looks like their player plants his stood into mjs calf when he’s stood behind him grappling. Can see mjs leg bend forward as he sinks his studs in and is rightfully punched for it

Never been so pleased with a home draw! Barnet are a decent side, certainly too good to play against with 10 men for most of the match. At 1-2 I thought we could have collapsed completely, but we are getting some luck which had deserted us earlier in the season - Barnet hitting the bar, then Newby's shot going wide until two deflections put it in the net.

Fully deserved MoM for Josh Gordon.

I cannot help to think that the old Barrow pre Kelly arrival would have folded.Andy Whing will learn alot off this unassuming man and they make a good team.
It has to be said MJ Williams needs to look at himself.
A experienced professional let his team mates down.
If he had landed one on the player fair enough but he should know the Nancy's playing now will fallover at the first contact.

Wyl Stanway is outstanding.
Joss Gordon must be the hardest working outfield player by a mile.
We need to have a run in the cup to bring money in.
The poor deal with Sky has bitten the lower league clubs in the butt.
Let's hope we get the win next week.

I was a bit bamboozled when Newby's shot found its way into the net yesterday. Bamboozled but pleased of course. Having looked back at it now on film I am still unsure as to whether there was just the one, or two, deflections on its way into the net. It does however take me back to late 1968 when Ivan Robinson scored for us at that end of the ground. For those too young to know, Ivan Robinson was the man in black. When I say "man in black" I don't mean Johnny Cash (oh, hang on , if you're too young you won't know him either) I mean Ivan Robinson. And Ivan Robinson was not playing for our opponents, Plymouth, he was the referee! In a similar way to which Newby's shot was heading wide yesterday we got lucky with an intervention that day when George McLean's effort was going well wide until the referee stepped in with an assist. I have to say that although Newby's goal yesterday got me thinking back to the Plymouth match, Robinson's goal was an altogether much more polished strike than the Barnet player's effort yesterday.

I must add one other thing though. Earlier in the thread Newby's good fortune was highlighted but Big Bluebird very wisely pointed out that if you don't shoot you don't score, and that at least the once-upon-a-time shot-shy Newby had a go when probably a while back he wouldn't have even tried to shoot. So credit to Elliot for having a go. I think Big Bluebird is very correct. So the message to Newby is keep on having a go and, as we saw yesterday, you just never know . . .

If that was the case MJ should have just gone down and let the ref deal with it. There is no place in the game for retaliation and punching a player as MJ did is unforgivable and he was rightly punished. He has let himself and the team down massively

Maybe so but it's true! ,I'll give you an example, at BAE for some bizarre reason have decided to supply Milk and Coffee for free, sometimes because of logistical reasons the milk runs out ,and people kick off about this !, that includes contractors on mega bucks and BAE employees on decent money with plenty of overtime!
Why do you think Corporate is struggling?, the club aren't a charity they have to make a profit here but people ( not everyone) expect too much for what they pay !, so yeah Pedro you might not like it but that's todays world!
