If you lose Whing, the new guy would have the same squad and finances to work with.
I don't know how long Whing has a contract for, but like all managers, he should be judged at the end of it.
Looking from the outside, you'se have a decent manager.
What annoys me is that if I or your perform poorly at work and got sacked,, we don't get compensation. Managers, players, boardroom members are rewarded regardless and unless this changes, attitudes won't change because at the end of the day, it's all about money for everyone but the difference between football and the real world is, we have to give a shit about what we do because we don't get rewarded for being crap.

Yesterday was just poor, lackluster and no desire! Is it all the managers fault or is it the payers too? They boggle my brain sometimes because they can play, they can produce, they can win but yesterday they looked like they couldn't be arsed and that for me id an insult to every single person who paid good money to stand and watch as well as they many that support the club.

I'm usually very upbeat and always try and see the positives but there is no excuse yesterday from anyone of them... I've seen more passion from Sunday league pub teams than that yesterday!!

Who would want to own a football club eh? Some big decisions to be made if the results ain't good in the next couple of games.

I think we should remember this is Whings first taste of league football from the start of the season he came in when Clemence was dismissed, therefore I think we are seeing Whings true use and he is not good enough, people may say we cannot afford to dismiss him but can we afford to keep him we are 500/800 fans down at least maybe more depending on how you work it out that gives a loss of at least £7.500. per home game using the figure of 500 fans paying £15.00. per game personally I think its more so sadly I don't think we can keep him, I think most of the players are good enough but we really need someone to motivate them better than is happening now.

You’re a Carlisle fan. If Carlisle had acted 6 games earlier, you would have given yourself a better chance of avoiding the drop. Looks like you’ve got the right man in now to bounce back, but you’ve also got wealthy owners which helps. Above all that you’ve got players who can hit the back of the net. We not in a good place right now and problems at the front and the back

Think it was just over 3000 with over 250 from Cambridge United.

I am a Carlisle fan yes.
My point still stands that sacking managers after a relatively short time means nowt.
In my opinion, keeping Whing is your best option.
We ( Carlisle) had 3 managers last season and it cost us..
Managers build foundations, replace them willy nilly and you lose solidity.
I hope Whing keeps his job, I hope Sparky is at Carlisle for years.

He's not wrong though (and neither are you with your last sentence). Are we just going to continually sack managers until our luck finally runs out? As I said in a post following the Blackpool game, our ability to compete from a financial perspective is lessening season upon season and it will eventually catch up with us if we don't find investment from elsewhere, the BoD* have even admitted that.

*who have made mistakes and things can be improved off the field, but that's a debate for another thread.

Think we would all like to see stability but this brand of football is god awful.

When is Wood going to take some of the flack for this? Some of these signings have been shite. Theres a reason why Booty is that age and hasnt played league football but we pay a fee for him and a 3 year deal. IMO Braky is probably one of the best wingers at this level but what do we do, sign him and play [SwearFilter] wingbacks. No rightback in the club! Its like theyve just signed players for the sake of it, not looking at our formation and how we play and lets not start on our forwards. Wonder of we can get Emile back on loan coz hes better than all of this lot

Very few if anyone was saying that at the time. The massive surprise was that we actually got a fee for him.
Like many have said we don’t have bad players what we do appear to have is a coaching team who are incapable of coaching and setting a side up to get the best out of them

I don’t think any replacing of a Manager is done “willy nilly and we can ill afford to go through it again, but you need to have confidence in what you hear and see. When you hear a pre game interview from the Manger and player interviews and they say all the right things …but you’re not entirely convinced, that's where we are.
We are not at the panic button stage yet, we may yet do something very un-Barrow like and have a good second half to the season, but right now, fans are rightly voicing concerns about performances.
