I wouldn’t be surprised if the recommendation for him came from Rob Kelly. Good coach plenty of experience knows the club having been here twice before. Positive appointment imo

I like whing and it's clear he is capable but as others have said, hes still wet behind the ears and appointments like this as well as Rob Kelly will only help whing and the club.

Perhaps now we can stop being absolute doom mungers and maybe do our bit and get behind the team.

I do think people forget how massively important fans are in helping a team. HS really is like a morgue sometimes and I never know why, we have decent enough crowds??

I see on the club's Facebook page former player Brad Barry is very complimentary about McDonald and how much he enjoyed working with him. Decent recommendation, that.

Followed him to Kidderminster and left when he was sacked.
Last job at Hartlepool till October.
Not sure a player recommending him means much because when Brown and he came in did not do much.
