Unfortunately it had to happen to give us any chance of staying in the league. I wish them both well sadly it just never worked out.

Well said.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out but perhaps we were a step too far for Andy and his inexperience was his downfall.

Good luck Andy and thanks for trying.

They arrived with such high hopes and last season pulled us up by our bootstraps because we were heading for the trapdoor. The loss of our midfield trio really did for them and recruitment for this season has been somewhat scattergun. Maybe just need to rebuild their confidence back in the National League. I thought we might have stuck with them a tad longer but not surprised after last night's debacle.
Don't let the old man in.

The owners are consistently ruthless in this kind of situation - got to give them that. When Whing started on about how far he was from his home in Solihull it started to sound like the Mark Cooper farewell. I concur with the general consensus top bloke but he was really struggling with the role. Semper sursum

‘Just Whing For Us’ and he did just that. A nice guy who I wish well, sadly run his course here - for now - recruitment huge factor in our current woes, IMO.

At least the new head coach will have January, but I doubt there will be huge change. We just need someone who can get results.

Board have been very quiet this season, but they don't mess about if they aren't seeing results. Whing had looked recently like the world on his shoulders and cannot be good for him. No one wants to see that.

A tough, but I think right decision. Respectful words too in the announcement. Cant be easy to do.

Nice guy but out of his depth. Probably for his own wellbeing as well as the clubs.
Wish him all the best.

Genuinely thought it was a good appointment at the time; a young up and coming manager who’s done well in non league getting a chance at the EFL, and even more so after they improved us results wise when they came in last season.
Sadly the attendance last night reflected the way things were going, you just couldn’t see how they could turn it around now (hope Neil McDonald hasn’t signed a long term contract….)
That statement is a worry to myself though tbh, if those above are talking about the quality and investment in the squad it almost sounds like the cupboard is bare for January when realistically we’d all be thinking we need at the very least 2 or 3 new players, and they need to be players who are ready for the first 11
