I know exactly what you mean; normally if just say we did have £100k to spend on a striker I’d be looking elsewhere (taking a punt on someone in non league tbh) but at least with Stockton you know what your getting, can we trust this recruitment team to find someone else

We paid fees for both Anderson from Sunderland and and goalkeeper Barrett so perhaps the Booty fee has been used

As always with our striker signings you have to wonder if he’s fit, and can he stay fit. If the answer to both is yes then that’s a good solid League Two signing

I remember him taking the gloves and being pretty despondent when Northampton beat us 3-1 a few years back but still missed out on promotion by Bristol Rovers winning 7-0...

Didn't like him as an opponent he was a nuisance, decent movement and went down easily from what I remember but has experience and goals in him....lets hope he can add something to us. He's not a big player at all though so maybe pair him with Fletcher who has impressed in a more advanced role.

Our owners are yet again (thank Cowps they do!) having to fork out in January to rectify another very poor summer of recruitment. Apologies for not happy clapping and thinking that’s acceptable, or for assuming every signing this recruitment team makes will be a good signing, history shows to be cautious. As I’ve said Rose is a good signing, if he stays fit, it may have escaped your attention but we have had a lot of injured strikers this season
