Another is that we are in that position partly because of the uber soft postponement of the Oldham game, and we may (I stress may) have a better idea of formation and tactics before that's replayed.

If this form carries on into the next two games, I despair what the attendance for the Harrogate match will be......when we need everyone pulling in the same direction.

What’s The Feeling… Before Pete Wild joins Morecambe
Could he not be enticed to come back to HS to help Paul Gallagher? Much like Rob Kelly did ( with some success) for Andy Whing.. If a thought like this has already been published.. Apologies…

People need to forget about Wild (sadly) I’d love him back myself but it’s clearly not going to happen

The feeling is that l feared the worst yesterday with all the new personnel and l also feel we got off lightly. Things were always going to get worse before they got better and l hope Gallagher doesn't think he can bollock his way to success, he needs to calm down a bit and think about how to calmly maximise his assets ASAP. Just some PG tips there har har.

A popular theory is that Harrogate and Newport will decide our fate, nevertheless we have to get eleven men out there who give it 100% for 90 minutes as a minimum requirement for every game. I don't think we saw that yesterday.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

We lost yesterday not because of formation, but because players weren’t strong enough when it comes to defending. 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 4-3-3 or whatever won’t prevent those sort of goals if players can’t or don’t have the desire to win a tackle and stop a move building up.

The second and third were amongst the worst we’ve conceded all season, yet the coach gets the rap for making changes? It wasn't the changes that cost us those goals.

And now some are calling for Wild. Is this someone on the wind up??

They've got to roll their sleeves up and get on with it because this is the squad, I doubt there’ll be any more coming in now.

I hope he ripped into them after that yesterday.

If we haven't increased the gap between ourselves from Newport and Harrogate, it will be a real worrying time.

Newport fixtures in February are ;-
Grimsby (9th) Home
Swindon (6th) Away
MK Dons (4th) Away
Salford (3rd) Away
Cambridge (2nd) Home
Fleetwood (15th) Away
Some tough games there.

Barrow's fixtures are l:-
Notts County (5th) Away
Shrewsbury (22nd) Away
Colchester (11th) Home
Harrogate (24th) Home
Fleetwood (15th) Away
Gillingham (14th) Home

Harrogate play :-
Swindon (6th) Home
Cambridge (2nd) Home
Chesterfield (8th) Away
Barrow (20th) Away
Bromley (1st) Home
Cheltenham (18th) Home
2 Different game dates for Harrogate at home there - I thought we play at home to Harrogate on Tuesday the 17th February !

But what is there to suggest all of a sudden Newport, Harrogate and Shrewsbury are going to defy their half-plus season form and turn it all around?

Gallagher has to try something different, that's clear enough. It's going to be tough, it isn't going to do anyone's ticker any good, but unless we make any major moves prior to Monday night, this is what we have. Despite the differences on how we view the picture, it is time to muck in as one.

Could apply the same logic to us - I feel next Saturday's game at Notts will give us a better indication of what's ahead in terms of the club staying in the football league now the new recruits have been blooded in what was always going to be a really tough fixture yesterday.

The mix is all wrong we've got young lads who need player's to nurture and help them, they will start to get disillusioned and feel the pressure, sums it up when in his interview Gallagher says he took Powell off because he's never played at this level and needs time, well that's all good if you're mid table and under no pressure but we're not ,this is an absolute joke just what is going through their minds in the recruitment of player's???

Can we afford him is probably the first line of thinking

I understand but there's the problem we're in this position because we can't afford to have a squad to compete in this league and we've just signed player's who hopefully might work and now because of this we're signing young lads who will need time and support there's only one way this is going!

Just incredible the decision making that goes on, when we need experience and no nonsense players who have been in this position. Players like Tom White could still so a job here out in the middle.

We don’t have the owners with financial clout to be a comfortable EFL2 side unfortunately
Gallaghers appointment and not going for a better experienced manager is telling imo. Rose apart I don’t see any of our signings commanding big wages and the loans will be partly funded by the players parent clubs.
If we survive great we get another season in league 2 but without investment it’s going to be a struggle again.
Yes we lose a fortune in money if we get relegated and in football terms it would be disastrous but the owners will just give the manager a reduced budget based on what they can afford.
The silence from them this season is very telling. I rembrr Adam saying after Whing had gone he asked someone from the owners for an interview and he said he was told to wait a couple of weeks. AFAIK he is still waiting for said interview. Make of that what you want
