No it’s not the name of a new rail project to bring ultra high speed trains across the bay to Barrow it’s a milestone for our own Adam. This Saturday the Notts County v Barrow match will be his 500th commentary. A great milestone indeed!

For Barrow exiles such as myself, who cannot get to as many Barrow games as I would like to, Adam is one of our vital links to all things Barrow AFC. From match commentaries on Radio Cumbria (via iFollow) to the podcasts on BBC Sounds he is a passionate and welcome ‘Barra accent’ that reminds us of home and keeps us informed on what is going on at our great club.

Your commentaries are manna from heaven when we can’t get to watch a game and you also provide a vital link between the club hierarchy and the supporters. Some might say you are the glue in a badly put together model, but unlike yourself I couldn’t possibly comment.

Couldn't agree more, you are the lifeblood for all exils and other Barrow supporter, even a old man such as myself l can't wait to read or listen to your words of wisdom on line or in the local press.
How good are you ? Just listen to another broadcaster by accident ( l'm sure we all know one or two, sorry no shouting out the answers !!! ) and you will soon realise you are one of the best ' better than all the rest' I'm sure that would make a great title for a song.
