I thought we played really well today,but yet again our defence let us down.The passing has become a lot more accurate.under Paul Gallagher.Charlie McCanns goal was brilliant.We also had a second goal disallowed despite the fact the ball had crossed the line.Where,s VAR when you need it?This team is so close to becoming a good side,it,s the silly mistakes such a Stanway palming the ball out instead of grabbing hold of it.We also seem to.have had an inordinate amount of away games with very few home ones.
I am hoping things will change against Shrewsbury on Tuesday night with a decisive victory.You can see the play is getting better we just need the players to play without fear and challenge the opposition when they come close to the box.If need be take one for the team and use the dark arts a bit more.Some of these players seem to be scared of going in hard and I think that is what is missing in defence.We are too nice and that needs to change

Our time in the football league hasn’t been as enjoyable as I thought it might be.

What ever happens it is still in our hands, at times today we looked good but we need to get some points

Something at the club is not right. Barrow fans and people are probably the most negative people I’ve ever encountered. Win 5 games in row and someone is going to pinch the manager and all the players, lose 5 and we are doomed. Having said that unless something changes we are doomed. I’ve always thought we had good players but just bad tactics and a new man would improve that but it’s not working.

They train well apparently as good as you can in hats gloves and scarfs.

Im usually one of the most negative and scathing on here but.....

They are 2nd in the league and on a 6 game win streak

Gallagher bemoaning the defending for both Notts goals but was adamant the shot cleared off the line by Notts was over the line having seen it back
Whitfield out for a week injured in training Fletcher did a shoulder at Swindon out for a few weeks

Another training injury it defies logic!, as for defending he's responsible every one on here knew we needed a right back and a solid central defender no disrespect but not a promising youngster he's taking us down at this rate even if we changed it they're not going to change the defence the only hope is that Foley can shoot in there. but he's not played for months!

Joe Anderson's shot was definitely over the line.

Bit difficult from that angle I remember Japan ( world cup)when they said( the officials)the ball was over the line when on tv at first it looked way over ! and VAR gave the goal from the cross.

In fairness the horrendous goals we conceded recently weren’t due to the shape so much but more to do with people not marking, defending and not being strong enough. Whitfield as a wingback was never going to work it was madness and Newby has never been a wingback either. Switching to a back four sees unlikely from what PG said as he said with the numbers of goals they’re conceding they want to keep numbers back which is flawed logic. We could have 7 at the back but if they’re not organised and doing their jobs it doesn’t matter.
Something has to change, the team does week in week out but it’s the mentality and the organisation, aggression…it’s not there and we’re too easy to score against. There is some quality in there at times but it’s not shown often enough and we’re weak physically and mentally. Not sure how that changes even with a change in shape. We needed experience ala Rob Kelly and some on the pitch and we went in the opposite direction, a load of young players thrown into a relegation battle it’s a big ask. Canavan and Rose aside we’ve no senior pros or leaders in there.

No. Gallagher was asked about that by Adam but he said he was happy with the shape. Not signing a whole hearted shit house CH or Midfielder who can give and demand 100% desire and willing to die for the cause is a big error imo. We have some nice footballers but that ain’t going to get us out of our current position

I have to say my faith in Gallagher is very low after his interview with AJ when asked about formation changing and saying a back 3 doesn’t work Gallagher just laughs and saying it’s been like that way before I was here the shape is fine

We needed an experienced head to get us out the rut not a rookie manage he is gonna have to pull a miracle out of his arse to save us

I thought attacking we were actually quite decent just not enough faith in the final third

We are clearly missing the likes of Williams foley and Gordon in the squad especially the defence Williams would of been all over them today I feel that Thompson isn’t at the level kept looking over at Canavan when he had the ball to say where should I kick it
Also call Stevenage tell them we are sending Malcom back he was horrendous didn’t not win 1 single duel

He's the Head Coach or Manager, so until the point he isn't Gallagher will have my backing. But it feels as if he has been given the job off the Tranmere win and happier training sessions alone. The decision must have been made ahead of the Salford game on NYD. Three points from the seven games he's had some involvement in.

He needs some wins, critically on Tuesday, and quick. History shows our board aren't slow to pull the trigger!

If you listen to Paul Hornbys interview two others were in the frame. One subsequently got the Bristol Rovers job the other said his location didn’t fit with ours I suspect that was Jon Brady
