Bad Stanway error time for Winterbottom although highly doubt Stanway will get dropped so best to just get behind him.

At the other end of the field Gordon & Rose dropped a shocker again today neither looked like scoring in a month of Sundays.

As for the penalty I want to be bias but it was never a penalty poor from Rose & good goalkeeping.

Still in our hands though like we say every week. 😂

Don't want to criticise Foley or Worrall as they have been landed with a mammoth task but they know we need the wins and I just want to see a bit more animation from them on the touchline. We are all in this and the fans are trying to lift the team today but we need to see Foley and Worrall shouting orders and encouragement from the sides, I just don’t see it. The transition from player to coach cant be easy but we need them to lead us. Theres 5 games left and we need them showing that they are giving everything. Too much of that second was almost like we had all the time in the world. Maybe we need Foley on the pitch?

Totally agree, Gordon and Rose just don't look as though they are supposed to be playing together, Gordon spends more time lying on the pitch than doing anything constructive, Rose just drifts in and out of the game!

Disagree from what saw with people saying Canavan put Stanway under pressure. All he had to do was kick the ball he messed about and got caught out.

We did ok in spells against a very well organised well drilled chesterfield side who I do fancy to go up via play offs We lacked that final ball today but couldn’t fault the effort and desire. Harper much improved of late. Felt for Stanway as up till the mistake he had been good claiming crosses and corners and his distribution from a couple of quick throw outs was excellent in first half to get us on the attack.
Looking at Canavan that maybe the last time we see him in a Barrow shirt when he limped off.
On to Barnet and still all to play for

With the 3 games we've just had if offered 4 points and to still be in touching distance of survival and it still being in our hands id have taken it. We did okay today and if not for a calamity we'd be a point better off and praising a good defensive performance. Results matter but there was effort today even if the quality was lacking. Braybrooke for them was the best players ive seen in league 2 this season. Bullied us alone when at Newport and I thought he ran the show again today. He'll end up much higher up the pyramid than league 2. All is not lost. 5 cup finals to go

Anyone who watches that and says it was a bad pass is deluded, it’s all Stanways fault no doubt about it. Once again though we showed nothing going forward and they didn’t until after the goal. But it’s sadly another game where mistakes and late goals have cost us since Boxing Day, think of the points we could have had Accrington, Salford, Harrogate, Crawley, Gillingham, Fleetwood, Cheltenham and today. We’ve been a lot more solid and look like an actual team since MJ has come back and the “new advisor that’s not the new manager” joined but where has this effort been all season? Everyone got beat again, somehow we’re still in it and clinging on for dear life, no doubt about it every game is a cup final now!

Canavan should’ve cleared it out of play as should have Stanway but it was fired at him.
Similar to a goal at Salford we continually pass back to the GK in difficult positions then wonder why he slices a few.

Poor performance we somehow managed to lose another game that should’ve ended 0-0.

All in all everyone else lost and we would’ve all take 4 points from these games.

We were poor and even though they didn’t create much they were the better team. Couldn’t fault the effort but we are rubbish. That’s it. Players on 2k a week who can’t pass. Can moan about subs, formation etc but this bunch are sh!t. MK away papered over the cracks because defensively we were brilliant but offered zero. Today we had the chance to get at them and offered f all. Question was posed today about would you take a one game shoot out v Newport last game and on back of that you would have to say yes as I think we’ll be down by then

No way was that back pass "fired" at Stanway, in fact it was perfect for him blast over the stand but he tried to be clever and lost control of the ball. 100% Stanways fault, still think we'll stay up though🙂

We are no worse off than we were at the start of today in some ways we’re better off because it’s another games played. I noticed when we kept passing the ball back to Stanway there was alway pressure from chesterfield when chesterfield past it back they had time on the ball. We are so slow going forward and [SwearFilter] around too much at the back with it

I think the time to unpick the season is going to at the end of the season or if we get relegated before then

Until that time it’s a clean sheet again next week and we go again. As gutted as I will be if we go down I’ve sort of resigned myself to it and at the end of the day it’s only a game of football

In the words of that terrible song Barrow will rise once again

Canavan being injured would be a nightmare tbh, MJ has been superb since he came back but presumably he would be shoved at centre back to cover?
If Whitfield isn’t ready to start on Saturday then for me we should use McCann in that Earring role on the left instead of Newby, at least McCann can cross and shoot

Canavan cost Barrow today
Nope. All on Stanway I’m afraid. Whole team was solid today apart from that one error. We go again

That picture proves nothing.
