If it did hit Josh's arm, then it more than makes up for the absolutely egregious foul on him (Giant Haystacks would have been proud of that one) that went unpunished and from which they went on to score their first.mulholland wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 11:59 am Gordon definitely one of those mysteries inside an enigma kinda players. How did he miss against Barnet? How did score that one last nite? Only man in the ground thinking let's get another straight away!
Did he encroach into the Oldham half before the ball was played, did the keepers clearance hit his arm? Who cares!
We've had some terrible luck this season so it was well overdue.
If you witnessed that last nite, well done you, if you haven't been to a game since Wigan away in the cup keep it like that. You're not needed Saturday.

Barkhuizen played as a Wing back during the 23/24 season for Derby so its far from being a role he was unaccustomed to.Scott5 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 5:31 pmI'll defend him a bit and say he's been played out of position a lot as a wingback as has Whitfield. It's a specialist role and he's not the best defender but that's not his game he's a winger/forward. When he breaks forward and carries the ball he's a real threat.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 5:18 pm
Barkhuizen has been one of the biggest disappointments amongst many for me this season. Will be on a good wage but looks like he just don’t want to be here. I question his attitude and commitment and I’ve heard it said on more than one occasion some at the club have too
I've not been sure why he's not played more often recently but he's got some kind of injury I think that keeps recurring, hence he plays then misses a couple. You would expect more from someone with his quality though yes having come down from the Championship. League 2 is a different ball game though.

Kane Wilson was their wingback that season the ex Forest Green lad when they won league 2, who is now at MK Dons.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 7:23 pmBarkhuizen played as a Wing back during the 23/24 season for Derby so its far from being a role he was unaccustomed to.Scott5 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 5:31 pm

One major failing was not signing a right wingback if we were to play that way last summer and I don't know the stats, but a hell of a lot of goals conceded have come from down our right side.

Not a player I like, not a roll your sleaves up and get stuck in kind of player.Pedro wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 3:58 pmI certainly do criticise people who are not good enough and he is lethargic, bottles out of challenges which leads to conceding goals and last night should have scored .Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 11:22 am
I disagree with your analysis of Harper Pedro. If he is as bad as you suggest, perhaps you can explain to The Forum why Sam Foley continues to pick him?
Perhaps it’s because you have had a lifetime of wanting to be critical of something or someone.
And yes, of course you are entitled to express your opinion.
If you don't look at weaknesses and keep singing always look on the bright side of life .
You end up in trouble .
Remind me what position are we in the league?
Foley is picking what he thinks is his best team but he looks stressed because he cares.
As a team and a town we have to strive to be better if we were in top half and I thought things need saying I would.
Never been a computer says no person.

I was told by someone claiming to be " in the know" ( we all know one) that he won't figure again this season, attitude being the issue. That presents a problem however as he's contracted until the end of next season,so play him or not he'll be paid and he won't be on two bob a week.
There wont be queue if we tried to sell him to reduce costs either.
Could be bullsh!t of course ,but not injured, not played much and not in squad v Oldham.See if tomorrow confirms there's no smoke without fire, or proves it to be bullsh!t.

I know a PNE fan who said "To be fair he was good for us initially and then towards end of contract had a few injuries……"
Perhaps it's these injuries again?

Judging by today’s performance, this was a one off freak game, normal service has been resumed. The negativity on the first page is reflective of our season as a whole. Were absolutely dog sh*t when it comes to consistency.
