Go to the game for the owners who put the money in to get us that 6 year league experience, without it (shearer in particular) we’d probably be part time.

At full time i wont be holding back, some happy clappers wont like that but the players lack of effort over the whole year is a disgrace. The owners must be as gutted as we are and i bet they feel like going in the changing room and telling them all to [SwearFilter] off as well

Folk clapped yesterday which just baffled me. But some see it as part of supporting.

Walking away is not an option for me.
When you get to a certain age and it suddenly dawns on you that you have a lot less years in front of you than what's behind you - it shifts perspective toward valuing quality, peace, and in my particular case deep gratitude towards Mr Hornby, Wilkes etc.
Fair enough, we have gone down, somebody has to, that's the nature of the game and the circumstances of that 'going down' we could argue about and debate until we are blue in the face but, one things for sure, this is our club and we are all proud of it and I for one will support it until it becomes physically impossible for me.
Yes, for sure we will lose a lot from the EFL attendances we became accustomed to at Holker Street, that much is to be expected because those people who choose to stay away do not have the same mindset as most people on this forum. True supporters are dedicated individuals who show unwavering loyalty, supporting their team through both success and failure (Barrow's being the latter noun) and its those very same people who were supporting the club through its darkest days who will keep on supporting the club till once again the sun shines.
I for one am already looking forward to next season and those familiar faces.

Vote with our feet? The writing has been on the wall since Christmas and I've not missed any games so I won't be missing the last league game of football either.

My son who is a Barrow fan (only football team he supports) claps after every match and I won't be telling him he's not allowed to. He loves the club and says he's clapping the shirt not the players.

League football has been a disaster in the overall. Lots of decent matches and memories made and more to be made next season.

Back to 1000 on a Saturday unless we have a great start to non league. Queues at the bar will be alot smaller

Go to the game but do not wear anything blue, wear black, support the club, the club is always bigger than the players. I have never booed a Barrow team but have walked out the ground a few times and would never clap them unless I have believed they have tried.

We stick with it to the bitter end, it was a bit of a unsavoury ending from the terrace towards the players at Cambridge yesterday . But I think the players have seen nothing yet!
I shall walk away before the game ends next week regardless of the result and results elsewhere glad not to be seeing a lot of our so called footballers wearing the Barrow AFC shirt ever again.
You are not worthy of wearing the Barrow AFC badge on your chest.
The club owners need to take stock and hopefully learn a lot of very harsh lessons from this season’s debacle and I remain hopeful that is exactly what they will do before implementing a plan to take our club forward.

I’m still annoyed after the Walsall game, that was the big chance and they absolutely bottled it but I honestly don’t get the abuse at the players. What did anyone think was going to happen with 5 managers and having one full back in the whole squad in a season!? As poor as they’ve been that’s the issue.

My 4 year old absolutely loves Barrow, he’s obsessed with the club but we’re avoiding next Saturday because I know he won’t want to see the amount of horrible grief the players will get.

Like it or lump it we need some of these players and coaching staff to challenge next year so what good is it really, to make you feel better?

Great post, that, Mall, well said. I just hope that as one of the 143 from '73 it never gets so bad that a new record is set and I become one of the 142 from '26. This is the town where I was born and have lived my life and so Barrow will always be my team. I have never really understood supporting a club hundreds of miles away. Sure, I can admire and respect watching, say, a Man City play but they can never be "my" team because I have no natural affiliation with a city a hundred miles away. Only Barrow can ever be my town and my team. It's funny you know, but whereas many fans will disappear as we fall it only works the other way round for me and, just as in '72, I will follow them more strongly the more they struggle. But just because I will always support them (the abstraction that is Barrow AFC the club) that doesn't mean I always respect them (the uninspired team that is Barrow AFC at present) . . . there are too many players in our team this season that I have little or no time for. I know, I know, I see the men in white coats waiting for me outside the front door but Holker Street will have to put up with me for the foreseeable future.

The only line of your post that I disagree with, Mall, is the bit where you say you will support Barrow until it becomes physically impossible. I hope to carry on watching them AFTER it has become physically impossible for me but, at that stage, rather than standing on the terrace I'll have to watch from my private box . . .
